I approached the U.S. embassy about this just yesterday and they provided photocopies of my emails and my signed statements that I was of sound mind and judgement and fully understood the ramifications. They(singular) told me they were not a lawyer and recommended I ask for advice online. I love this. "I realized how bad I hosed up and asked for help. I am a salaried worker. I often work over my mandated 37.5 hours a week but I don't get overtime pay. The odd time in lieu if I am lucky. This is in the UK; a socialist paradise apparently.... at least he gets something.
