It's certainly got more chance of being on your driveway than going to Mars

I love these things more than is reasonable. My wife was horrified when we saw one in traffic the other day and I mentioned wanting one as a summer car. The phrase "over my dead body" definitely featured.

Just buy an old beetle and hack parts of it off bit by bit. She'll never notice!

actually just took the kids to see stadium trucks in detroit last weekend, and was surprised at how small the stadium trucks are, much smaller than that f-150. They were also hitting 150mph on the back straight!

but the resemblance is certainly there

It's an Alfa V6. A built Alfa V6 :getin:

But of course, it will negatively impact the legendary reliability of those engines. :downs:

e: apparently I'm retarded

ee: not sure what OP of this image was wtfing about. Am I missing something? The headers are weird but probably built that way to achieve a specific desirable resonant length and maintain equal length. The rest of it looks to me like a pretty standard built-for-moon-travel Alfa V6.

I'm super unfamiliar with V6 engines, the only V engines I really know are 8s and on those it's pushrod ones so belts and such in a V config just look weird to me. :v:

It looked like there was some sorcery going on.

Oh, there's sorcery, don't get me wrong. Check YouTube and listen to the Alfa/Busso V6 rev out. You've been warned; you'll want one. The example you posted is really cleanly built tho.

That's a 24v Alfa V6, probably from a 3.0 164 installed in a 75 with AHM throttle bodies. 75 originally came with a 12v version of the engine. No RWD 24v Alfas were made by the factory. They go up to 3.8 litres (3.9 if you are Oliver Koerfgen). I've got a 164 Q4 3.0 24v in my GTV6. AHM ITBs would be nice.

That night we performed the rite and opened the gate.
Halfway through, I went to fix us both a coke float.
By the time I got back, he'd gone insane.
Plus, he'd left the gate open and there was evil everywhere.

The Alfa V6 makes gives me the James May fizz.

There was one of those down the street from me when I lived in Arizona. Amongst all the retarded brodozers with super swampers and pogo-stick lift kits that you need a ladder to get into, there was this flat-gray Tacoma with a bunch of dings and scratches on the corners. Looked pretty much like a generic small pickup truck from a distance.

Then you'd get closer and notice the bash plate covering the entire bottom of the vehicle, the stripped interior with a roll cage, and the loving portal axles. :flashfap:
