One advantage of living in Salisbury is that I get to vote directly for Corbin (not that one). Last election was 60% Tory though so I'm not holding out any hope. Going to go campaign in Southampton instead.

My estate will have a massive turn out and it will be young as well as olds, people are going to be royally pissed off if the rest of the country allows it's olds to gently caress us.

Just want today thanks guys and gals, you have encouraged me to cast my first general election vote ever at the ripe old age of 35. Apathetic no longer. You are a great bunch making informative threads and I have learned a great deal and had to examine my conservative mindset.

I'm in a solid Tory seat sadly, but I had my parents proxy votes, so chalk up +3 votes to the jam man!

Voted SNP in West Dunbartonshire, who had a 15,000-strong lead in 2015. So I have a sneaking suspicion it may be a repeat.

Dragged my mum along to vote early. Have a suspicion that she voted Tory but don't care because this a safe Labour seat that has been that way since its inception.

Just cast my first ever vote along with my wife. It's a safe Labour seat already, but it's nice to add to the popular vote. As a bonus I think I just convinced 3 people at work to vote Corbyn too

Walked down the street to my polling station first thing and put in a vote for Big Man Jezza in Bristol West. Quite a few people kicking around for 7am (all looking like good old bleeding-heart Labour types) but then I do live right in the centre.

So I registered 10 days before the deadline but never received a polling card. Hope I'm still able to vote as for the first time ever I'm living in a constituency that has a faint chance of swinging to the Labour party.

What's the verdict on old people who support strict immigration controls, because they wish they'd been in place to prevent themselves being allowed in to a lovely country in the 50s against their will?

AttitudeAdjuster posted:So I registered 10 days before the deadline but never received a polling card. You can vote without a polling card, and don't need ID either but it can't hurt to bring one. The issue is that if you never got your card, you won't know which polling station you are registered at. Go here https://www.yourvotematters.co.uk/ and enter your postcode to find that out.
