Found my towns prosecutor mocking someone his office had prosecuted on social media. What can I do? submitted 16 hours ago by ErikTheRedDeadViking quote:Per the title. Prosecutor apparently said "Always nice to meet a satisfied customer." Unprofessional, sure, but not against the law. Now here's the fun part. The top comment: quote:Just saw this thread. I'm the person who made the comment to "Erik". The context of it was that he was using anti-LGBT slurs and other abusive language to describe the homeless population of our town and people who stick up for our local homeless population (I was arguing in our local sub that they're folks who need help, treatment and understanding). He told me that he hoped I was stabbed to death by one of the homeless people I was defending. I saw that he had bragged about doing time in prison a few posts previous, so I told him that it was nice to meet another satisfied customer (given his violent remarks, I had supposed at the time that he had done something violent, which is usually the main way a person gets sent to DOC in my jurisdiction- we're big on treatment, diversion, not arbitrarily putting time on people unless it's the only way to stop them from hurting somebody).

I wonder if she's Japanese. It seems to be a very Japanese trait to do everything they can to not answer questions directly for some reason - even simple questions. It's weird. Although this lady seems obnoxious even by their standards.

He says she won't even answer questions like "what did you have for lunch" so I have to wonder if she got sick of answering the same loving questions for him over and over (which he has no memory of having asked the first 3 times) to the point where she won't bother answering even stuff like that now. Like, maybe she figures what's the point if it's just going to go in one ear and out the other anyway.

Should my husband [m34] give me [f33] a say in the house we are building? u/throwaway19843229 quote:I am a stay at home parent looking after our two young children as well as my 2 older children from a previous relationship so I don't work and earn any money. My husband has bought a block of land and we are planning to build a house but whenever I make suggestions or point out things I like he says he's going to build the house he wants and that my ideas are stupid and he says if that's what I want I should build my own house. I can't build a house because I don't have money and I am busy looking after the kids. Should I push to get my way on some things with the house even though I am not able to contribute anything or should I just keep quiet about it? He thinks I am ungrateful and complaining but I do feel grateful I just think it would be good to have a say in some things. He says I can either live in the house he builds and be quiet about it or live somewhere else. hillarymaybeyoushouldrunforsomething.gif

La Brea Carpet posted:This is bizarre as hell My brother was like this a lot when we were growin up. Just refused to answer mundane questions about stuff for seemingly no reason, like if mom and him went somewhere while I was playing games and came back, if I asked him where they went he would just not tell me or say something like "wouldn't you like to know". Nothing he'd need to be secretive/private about either, if I asked my mom afterwards she'd be like "oh we went to this store to pick up this thing he needed for school/hobbies/whatever". Hard to think of other examples off the top of my head but it was a fairly common thing he did and I never really got why, I think he just thought it was funny cause he knew it annoyed me.
