I notice the upload says interrupted by the wife, I got the impression she was his sister in the scene. Maybe from her saying "dad needs a ride", though it doesn't necessarily mean it's both of their dad (and Harry's). Could go either way from the dialogue unless I missed a bit. Great scene!

That drug guy getting chewed out in his interview was also great. And Tom Sizemore. Every scene.

I was arguing that even without Lynch, the nadirs of season two are still extremely Twin Peaks

Nadine is good, Major Briggs is great, Gordon is fantastic. The second part of season two as a whole, however, is a special kind of aimless, embarrassing tedium that might just prevent your friends from finishing Twin Peaks. Seeing as this would be a bad thing, I recommend skipping dumb poo poo if they can't handle it.

He also directed a few of the best TV episodes ever in that season, and I've enjoyed albums that bands ended up not being proud of etc. I enjoyed it enough to watch all of it twice. I agree there's a dip in the middle of S2 though.

I really wish she was a notch above pornstar acting level because it's a drat shame to have this actress portray the character who apparently could connect the dots on so many classified documents in the Secret History book. Her acting has been completely fine and I think all this bitching and moaning is really weird and must be coming from people who just get angry when they see a woman.

I just worked my way through both seasons to get to the return, season 2 is difficult but it's worth it to watch the whole thing, you'll actually have more of an appreciation for just how right Lynch gets it after watching how wrong it can be without him.

Look on the bright side.

Half of season 2 is bad but it actually wasn't as bad as I expected when I watched it the first time. Only the James and Nadine plots were really bad. Cooper's stuff was still fun. I wouldn't skip them the first time since they introduce a lot still.

I'm gonna laugh if Wally and Doris and every other character played by a notable actor like the 2 mob guys at the casino and Ethan Suplee and whatever never show up again.

Also the guy who played Otis looked so familiar to me but his imdb page only lists 4 things including TP. I think it might just be his resemblence to Slim Pickens.

The poster was defending Chrysta Bell not Candy Clarke in the post you quoted

On a side note, I wonder how many of Frank Truman's scenes were originally written for Harry Truman in mind. It would make comedic sense that an aged Harry, who has had to put up with Andy and Lucy's frequent gently caress-ups for years and years, would now have to continue utilizing a barely contained good-natured patience toward his annoying godson. It also would make a bit more sense to see Harry in a problematic relationship, because he sucked at romance.

The way Frank Truman is acting feels a lot like the way Harry acts in The Missing Pieces so I'd believe it was originally written for him.

Ed Hurley's reactions to the whole thing are amazing. He's just trying to process the complete bullshit surrounding him. He was doing just fine in his schmaltzy double life melodrama with Norma, now he's a side character in a wacky amnesia plotline. For the duration of that arc, Ed Hurley is in his own private Black Lodge. Except the floor is flannel.

Also, Nadine beats seven buckets of poo poo out of Hank, which is always satisfying to watch, then re-watch.

One thing it has made me really appreciate is how good Lynch is at either finding funny looking people, or shooting them in a way that brings out what is unique about their physiognomy. Like Amanda Seyfried's ginger boyfriend for example, or the jolly handsy guy in the bar at the end. Just distinctively weird rear end human beings.

I had a thought about Nadine being all super strong. She's show as being pretty drat strong early on when she bends the bars of the rowing machine down in anger. So when she mentally reverts back to 18 years old, she has all the strength from working out for years, but doesn't know it so when she does something full-force it's way more powerful than she expects. She literally doesn't know her own strength.
I know they say something about adrenaline and the strength is way out of proportion and stuff, but I kinda like that interpretation so it is what I am going to believe.
