I like your style hombre, but this is no laughing matter. Assault on a police officer. Theft of police property. Illegal possession of a firearm. FIVE counts of attempted murder. That comes to... 29 dollars and 40 cents. Cash, cheque, or credit card?
Awesome, I had no idea it continued development under a new name.

The work of our own bonzibuddy64, which apparently has continued on as Morrowind 2. I recommend also watching the Malbora tour video, as it has some pretty sweet music and seems to give a nice feel for the mod: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d_Gn_sO0k5w

Morrowind Gold Edition goes by Morrowind 2 now, if anyone was curious. And as per the creator

Morrowind 2 was never a ‘joke mod’ like many seem to interpret it as, but I can’t expect everyone in the world to have an appreciation for the lore of Tamriel. The events depicted in the game are canon, whether you agree or disagree

thats npc hit strength. npc's damage is surprisingly consistent between hits, maybe they considered making the range much wider but that means stronger npc's might evaporate you or tickle you

But you're right - assuming OpenMW is just using 0-1 flatly, that's still not much difference than 0.11-1, I wouldn't think, and certainly not the more than twice piece they're seeing.

what about the graphics do you want to change?

mgexe + heads + bodies + morrowind watercolored = easiest way to get a rad game

mgso is outdated and kinda poo poo and bloats your game up with stuff you won't even notice

It's weird how standards change. When Morrowind first came out I thought "I can't believe how amazing the faces are." Then Better Heads and Better Bodies eventually became completely necessary, but now I'm sorta in your camp again.

They just look bad. They're like stretched-out photos made into textures. The originals are great, they're basically animated the same way as Deus Ex.

neat, I might use it one day. I probably misread but there are 49 locations where all the artifacts could spawn, are they locations of your choosing or are they the locations Bethesda has each artifact in, only that it will be a random one?

quote:

- If your character's health is full, cliff racers will only attack you if you come relatively close to them.
- If your character is wounded, even a bit, cliff racers will smell your blood and attack you from a wider range. The more wounded you are, the further from they'll come after your sweet meat.
- Diseased cliff racers will only attack if you come close to them, but won't flee from you as soon too.
- Blighted cliff racers, being crazy monsters they are, will attack you from afar and won't flee no matter how much you'll bash their dumb heads.

Looks like that really zoomed out picture in the OP has parts of mainland Morrowind, are those from Tamriel Rebuilt? Looks like you could enter Mournhold from the outside.

Also, I'm laughably bad at this. I managed to get stable mods working like 5+ years ago, but I remember having to install way more things than I see in the OP. I think I had to get Python itself and a bunch of other random programs so (my steam copy) of Morrowind wouldn't run through Steam. Is anything like that still needed? Also, the link to get MGE working through Steam doesn't seem to work, is there still anything special that needs to happen? I remember MGE being the make or break mod.

Dumb question: Can you use Mod Organizer to install mods with Morrowind (or Oblivion for that matter?)

Also, are there any quest mods worth checking out? I was planning on just doing a basic mod set up for Morrowind that fixes the resolution and adds patches, but I thought it'd be worth it try some quest mods at the very least.

From what I remember, you used to have to install Python as a prerequisite for Wrye Mash so mods would load in the correct order. They made a version which doesn't require it a few years ago.

MGE now has a much better successor out called MGE-XE. The only thing you need to do (and what I believe that link said to do) is install DirectX 9.0, specifically the June 2010 release. You'll see it in the instructions.

And yes, a few of those screenshots include Tamriel Rebuilt.

Tamriel Rebuilt is the only quest mod I am aware of that is as good or better than Vanilla content. The only downside is that it doesn't add anything to the mainland, so you have to go out of your way to check it out.

This guys post contains all the good mods. Also this Loot Randomizer seems pretty amazing as well.
