Yea this is kind of why I'm more worried about Ruth than Boris if Ruth ever decied to go to the UK Parliament. Ruth is seen as competent and more in touch even by Tory standards to many people. She is one of the big loving reasons why Scotland has become more Tory. I wouldn't underestimate her as the Rape Clause didn't do much to her when everyone threw that poo poo at her face all the time.

To be fair to Mandelson, if her humbling at the polls means t may softens her brexit approach then it might be worth voting for a deal that isn't complete trash. Depends how it goes though

Meanwhile in irredeemable fuckhead territory, Mandelson his written for the Mail on Sunday urging Labour MPs to back Theresa May if she offers to soften Brexit.

Seems like he got over his sudden admiration for Corbyn quickly.

For clarity, this is a former Labour cabinet minister and current Labour Lord calling on Labour MPs to prop up a loving Tory minority government if it offers them some concessions on Brexit. Because after all it would be churlish not to support the disabled-murdering cunts.

Wouldn't worry too much, because it's not as if a sane deal after reasonable negotiations is a thing Theresa May is likely to offer the country.

Although, she (and her party) has never really had to do anything substantial in the public eye beyond take attention-grabbing photo ops, look reasonable and calm while the SNP and Labour leaders call each other dipshits, and say independence is bad. It would be interesting to see if she can manage advocating an entire program of government for a country.

May is in a position where losing a vote of any significance could collapse the government. There's no way Labour MPs should be supporting her on anything.

The DUP must know as well as the Tories how tenuous their position would be. Surely it's in their interests not to play too hard to begin with; they aren't going to get a better chance for power any time soon and if it's just a supply and demand deal they'll have leverage over May for as long as the Parliament lasts.

The Tory party allying with the DUP has caused the rest of the UK to learn about how evil the DUP are. A party founded on no women's rights, no minority rights, one true religion, and a desire to get back to murdering Catholics. Which makes the Tory party look that much more evil for working with them.

That's crediting the DUP with far more political sense than they've ever had. We're talking about a party that has wilfully collapsed the NI Assembly on several occasions safe in the knowledge that their core religious fundie voter base will keep supporting them no matter what.

Assuming she still stands whenever the final Brexit deal comes up in parliament, and it keeps you in the inner market etc., can they actually afford to shoot it down? Like not getting this overwith as fast as possible is probably really really bad for the UK.
