IIRC if you PM one of the mods they'll give you it, but I can't remember which one - there's a post buried in this thread somewhere. I'd like the tag too, for what it's worth.

I think Fans should just give a gang tag to anybody who posts in the thread. Even (in fact, gently caress it, especially) the gloomy bastards who never rated Corbyn or never liked him. Also, of course, he needs to give me one as well. <-----edit: lol well

winegums posted:The idea that the Tories abandoning austerity would put "tanks on Labour's lawn" seems a bit silly. It points far more questions at the Tories Plus their definition of "ending austerity" is most likely "all right, all right, we'll keep the triple lock and more policemen". They are ideologically committed to reducing the state: Hunt is still in loving Health.

The mail having learnt it's lesson from the failure in attacking Corbyn have decided now to focus instead on a new target for a hatchet job. Ruth Davidson.

learnincurve posted:I have a Tories are batshit crazy non-election thing Lol what's the plan here, ring up Farmer John to ride over on his brand new combine 'arvester, shotgun under his arm, and blast terrorists in The Crown And Lion? Or maybe it's a plan to replace fox hunting? Granted I have suspected that a terrorist attack on a village pub on a sleepy Sunday afternoon has the potential to have more influence than ones on cities, but modern terrorism is far too bombastic and in need of high profile targets in major cities to do that.

I love my ability to buy guns and shoot them but you lot need to have your police trained to not shoot South American electricians more than you need expanded gun ownership. So do our police obviously but written constitution and all that.

True enough that they lack the sway to win it, but there was still significant damage done. Yes I think this attitude that the frothing right-wing papers have no sway any more is quite dangerous, if it wasn't for them Corbyn would be PM right now, no question. They've poisoned a huge amount of people against Corbyn (see that Guardian video the evening of the election where people were literally parroting Tory slogans about strong and stable May vs. IRA loving Corbyn) and given what people are like that's probably going to stick. Let's not take it for granted that young people are going to turn out to vote to counteract this. Though the narrative is obviously breaking down a bit with all the poo poo that the Tories are smearing themselves with right now, which helps. As a PM non-haver I would appreciate it if I could be inducted into the Order of the Jam Man, thanks
