"we're ready to be the adults and govern, even if may is being a big baby about it". Seems in line with their shadow cabinet's recent sass as well.

Of all the post-election talk the one that baffles me the most is the idea that Chuka Umunna matters. People talking about how to fit him in to the cabinet like he is some kind of noteworthy heavyweight. Who on earth is going to change their vote to Labour just because Chuka Umunna is now on board? What has he actually ever achieved? What barnstorming speeches has he delivered? I feel like Im missing something because what I see is an empty suit.

Who the gently caress cares if she is in the shad cab? She literally said all she wanted was to be Prime Minister if my girlfriend's mum is to be believed. Which imo is a good reason to not let that happen.

The leave campaign was categorised by complete ignorance of any facet of european politics and complete illiteracy in it's political systems, it's a stretch to expect most leavers are different. Granted, a lot of them don't care about that stuff and just wanted out to kick out muslims or whatever, but I've very rarely spoken to a leaver who can tell me anything factual about the EU.

Abbott has revealed that the illness that caused her break from campaigning was Type 2 Diabetes, because her blood sugars were 'out of control'. She also says that she feels ready to get back to work. I feel bad for saying it, but maybe she should move to a less high profile role. If stress was the underlying cause of her issue (by exacerbating her diabetes) it's hardly going to go away. She can still make a valuable contribution in another ministerial job and it gives Corbyn a little breathing room to reshuffle one of the top jobs.

Reminder that the Labour party BC took from their half hearted "we might weaken austerity but not really if you don't want us to" pitch not winning 2015 was that Austerity was good and that Labour should double down on austerity and then they spent the next two years trying to sabotage Corbyn because they deeply believed this. Ultimately liberals will always fight tooth and nail with socialists while compromising with the right wing.

Oh, right, yeah, the housing bubble being more or less the entire basis of our economy, and levels of personal debt that suggest every person on the country is a gambling addict with a system. Okay, Plan B... Right, all we need to do is increase our exports, get other countries buying up Sterling so we can absorb the inflation. Oh.. UK manufacturing destroyed over the last 4 decades by the same people now profiting off the housing bubble. And we're about to make our exports considerably more expensive to our largest trading partner. Plan C needed... erm... Well I almost hate to suggest it, but maybe slash public spending to the bone, get some of that monetarist shock therapy poo poo going on. Sweat the inflation out. It's going to hurt, but... ah. So we've spent the last seven years doing that, and all of our public services are at breaking point, and we're still inflating like a deviantart fanfic heroine? IT'S ALL THE FAULT OF CORBYN AND HIS MARXIST POLICIES AND THE REMOANERS TALKING DOWN GREAT BRITAIN!
