I enjoyed shock poo poo going back to Stile Project back in the day. I could see the idea of 'lulz' but sometime through the Obama administration I could see 4chan take a turn where you couldn't really tell what was simple anti-authority and what was legit white supremacy. I laughed at 'nigga stole my bike' but I stopped laughing when I saw there were people who were serious.

A genuine leftist movement can counter and prevent the alienation that produced the alt-right, but many individual members are probably lost. Many of the ones who are now teenagers will hopefully grow out of it and look back on their childish attitudes with regret. But the guy posting on a MGTOW reddit that all women deserve to be raped because they're collectively guilty of denying him sex...I don't think that guy can be saved, not even by a movement that delivers huge material improvement in his own life. The only "answer" I can think of is actually creating policy that rounded up these guys and forced them to go to therapy, which isn't feasible and probably isn't desirable.
