Facebook Aunt posted:I seriously doubt it. You can't tie these fly-by-night companies up for years, because at the first sign of trouble they are going to fold. And then walk across the street and start a brand new company. It isn't like Disney can do much of anything to the chinese factories cranking this stuff out. There were a few different articles I was reading on this, too, where I think part of the idea was that some brands were giving the manufacturers permission to do limited amounts of approved and branded lower-end releases of things with some major restrictions: No selling in certain regions, pricing and quality and even brand name would be at a certain level compared to the main official product, a limited run would be allowed to be sold, etc. I think New Balance, example, cited an occasion where something like that was happening and even once they got the company in question to stop, ANOTHER company popped up and was doing the same thing. edit: This is sort of interesting, though, when looking up New Balance to find the article I was thinking of I found this one, instead. http://fortune.com/new-balance-chinese-trademark/ quote:New Balance is hardly the only company losing trademark battles in China. Earlier this month a Beijing court ruled that a Chinese leather goods company that has been stamping “IPHONE” onto its wallets has more rights to the word than the $500 billion maker of actual iPhones. Apple aapl has been fighting a trademark case against Xintong Tiandi since 2012 over the name it coined—so far to no avail. JediTalentAgent has a new favorite as of 15:46 on Jun 16, 2017 |

Peanut Butler posted:girl bike crossbars are low so that the skirts that all girls wear don't show any upper shin The Jopo was specifically designed to fit everyone and the name is a contraction of Jokaisen polkupyörä, i.e. Everyone's bike. It's quite possibly the most popular bicycle model ever in this entire country, ridden by people of all ages and genders It's also the most stolen bike model at this time because they're not cheap anymore.
