Didn't the last coalition deal need to be approved by the membership? That's got to be a non-starter, surely.

We have loving homeless people in this country and a single loving borough in London has nearly 1400 empty loving homes. as someone that knows a bit about RBKC this is probably a massive underestimation based on self-reports for paying more tax. I would put the real number at least 5000 maybe all too 20000 or above, no one really knows. ofc that number still a massive under representation when you consider that lots of those will be 6+ bedroom houses.

A free vote on whether or not to have a second brexit referendum in two years that won't pass? They now know how being in coalition works.

Power, privilege, and that liberal fascination with being 'reasonable'. Sure, it'd destroy them, but I don't think any of us believe the political class is even capable of thinking that far ahead any more. Clegg didn't sell us out for a vote on PR: he sold us out for the ministerial limo. e: May has showed up at Newsnight at no notice, desperately trying to spin this

That, and he could fund via taxation a housbuilding program with a target of 300,000 social houses a year, while seizing vacant and second homes nationwide until every single person in the country has the dignity of a safe and affordable roof over their heads. If the state cannot provide even the basic essentials of existence it has no business existing itself.

No that makes sense, see, the tories also want to replace police with suggesting to criminals not to murder people, and fire services with standing outside burning buildings and tutting at the inferno.

It was so blatant and Emily looked like she wanted to punch her In the end she said thank you in a really quiet disappointed voice and there was the briefest flicker of guilt on May's face. Nice contrast with the way she kept loving smiling while she delivered her spiel
