I've had unmodded Oblivion's intro sequence break at least a couple of times. Skyrim's intro at least hasn't outright broken on me, but even without modding it did have some graphical weirdness occasionally, like not being able to decide exactly how foggy it was supposed to be.

My brother can't play Bethesda games anymore because every one of them runs at about double speed. The audio is normal, so it's a bunch of voice clips running into each other while everyone sprints around and arrows fly at supersonic speeds.

And even in the end, for myself at least, when it was running almost perfectly, if I went too fast on rough terrain or gently bumped into anything bigger than a tank my mech would get launched into the stratosphere.

I just played through Mechwarrior 3 a few months ago on a modern system and didn't have speedup or cool stuff like being launched into the air by collision (think of it as free jump jets) My problem was terrain and buildings disappearing and the game just locking up or you lose control of your mech at certain resolutions. Aside from that, the game ran fun but, man, it turned out to be such a chore to play. I was playing with an old Sidewinder joystick and I'm probably terrible but I had to constantly repair at the mobile base and/or got demolished by LRMs and never had enough ammo for my AMS or my own LRMs.
