I think it's a standard air con heat pumper but designed so that people who can't or daren't open their windows fully can use them.

Swamp coolers are good in dry heat and absolutely terrible in Britain.

There's a type of evaporative cooler that sprays concentrated brine through the air to dry it, then fresh water through to cool it, then brine again to dry the cool air. Those are good and cool.

You then separate the saltwater in the trap back into brine and freshwater by distillation (outside ofc) which is the last part of the heat engine.

tbf, what's he's actually saying is employers have to use fans/AC to keep the temperature below 30. If you're refusing to do it for yourself then I guess you'll have to let yourself go home?

Also according to the weather app on my phone, the real feel was 47° here last week.

Yeah, it's more of a put on the employers to sort their roasting offices out or face their employees walking out with impunity.

Some racists are already using this to form their own counter narrative in which the brave van driver having seen a crowd of muslim's descend upon a man upon the floor drove into them to rescue him.

I'm not quite sure how "I'll kill you all" fits into this narrative.
