In fairness this is the idea; people can't be forced to work in a place that's too hot for reasonable effort.

The cracked fascia and damaged wheel mean it's a bit noisier than it should be (unless I stuff an old pillow under it) but if I put it at the top of my stairs and vent it through the spare room window it can cool my entire house as long as I don't forget to close all the other windows. And for when it gets really silly like last night and I use it in just my bedroom it can get the room cold enough you can see your breath in about ten minutes.

31°C is a cool summer day here in the American South. We'll spend most of July and August above 35 nearly every day. You get used to it (sort of) after a while.

Just keep yourself hydrated. Carry something to drink with you wherever you go.

Welsh national front are denying any links to the attacker claiming they aren't that sort of nutter.

From the guardian live blog:

quote:

In response to an inquiry from the Guardian, the Welsh regional organiser of the far right party, Adam Lloyd, described him as a “lunatic” but said: “The man in question is not known to any of us here in South Wales National Front, and to our knowledge is not and never has been a member.”

However Lloyd added: “Although we will never condone or accept this kind of violent attacks here in SWNF, anyone with a right mind can see this is not a terrorist attack but a revenge attack.”

He said: “Incidents like this are only going to increase as two different cultures clash thanks to the failed multicultural and multiracial experiment forced on us by successive corrupt governments.”

Most people don't, tbh. Economic development of the South didn't really start until the TVA started providing cheap electricity so people could afford air conditioning.

Some people seem to thrive on it, though.
