I actually got 'happy slapped' in Portsmouth many years ago when I was there for my first go at university. Bunch of yoofs jogged by, then one jogged back and twatted me then jogged off. Still have the scar, true story. To be fair I think id have been tempted to twat 18 year old me as well, that hair style had run its time.

Portsmouth has 7Bone, which makes awesome burgers. But then so does Southampton, where the original and therefore best 7Bone is.

We weren't doing anything, this guy just came up, punched my mate, then carried on walking. His friends apologised and said "he's always like this" and bought us a round, while their punchy friend went stomping off god knows where

BoneMonkey posted:Ahh the Pompey hello. One night years and years ago i was walking back from tesco and suddenly found myself on the floor and drenched in beer, having been bottled completely randomly by some pissed up guy in the street i hadn't seen and had never met in my life. One of his equally pissed up mates got all outraged, helped me up, put a beer in my hand and helped me stagger down the road. I went home, slept it off and never really paid it much thought - random poo poo could happen to anybody. But now i type it out it's loving surreal. POMPEY

I can only imagine the background briefings David Davis has been giving to journalists the past couple of months. Inside David Davis's fevered imagination - "Of course I shall take a very firm line in these negotiations. I shall make it quite clear that we want simultaneous negotiations on leaving and forging a new advantageous trade agreement" Objective reality - *Sad Trombone Sound.* Honestly, I'm sure the idiot literally went in thinking "Johnny foreigner. Pah! Lets's see how they deal with stout British common sense, you just need to take a firm line with these people"

OwlFancier posted:Ah, so my exact hairstyle then. In all seriousness it was a fashion in the rave generation of the 80's and 90's probably also location related and I dare say like all this bullshit it goes in and out depending on where you are and how old you are. At that age I hadn't come close to adopting anything like an adult identity and was just doing what the other people were doing. Very pleased I remained with the short utilitarian hair though, I never pay for a haircut, good clippers are only like 50 quid and last years. Forehead seems to get bigger every year though!

Shouldn't have watched panorama, not going to sleep well tonight here on the 10th floor . Here in Wolverhampton SW there's a fair few blocks and because wolves is such a shithole nothing will happen with regards to helping us or reassuring us and the estate manager is never in even though they fired of a letter to all tenants last Wednesday before lunch and another on Thursday that she "wrote" but good luck contacting the fuckers. I'm disabled, am I supposed to sit in my flat and burn to a crisp or somehow leg it down flights of stairs even though I can't move well or quickly at all. gently caress

I mean, my great grandma lived there and even 10 year old me found it boring. Southport I went to once to watch Slough play in the 1998 FA Trophy Semi Final 2nd Leg. They delayed the kick-off by half an hour because no fucker was there, decided that 150 of us Slough fans needed 20 cops and 4 on horseback to keep us in line, and the school which shared a border with the ground had a barbed wire fence to keep the students in. Needless to say, we lost due to the most offside goal ever and started our plummet towards true non-league obscurity and not even Sophie Howard can make it better
