I'm probably showing my stupidity but in the context of "The Office", what does this even mean? Did the Office do an arc about a protegé boxer whose father was a legend?

I don't really do sitcoms so I have never and likely will not ever watch The Office, sorry

Nah, Oscar Martinez is the boxer

But really the office has a minor, but hilarious, character named Creed who is insane. He's really in it for like seconds at a time, doesn't really know what his job is, may or may not be using someone else's identity. Almost like if Kramer was an old man and you only saw him maybe once an episode and never knew wtf he was doing.

Also watch the office because when it's funny it's one of the best shows ever and has borderline unmatched replay value. Don't be a dickhead

Early seasons of the Office were excellent but the last like, 4 or so were barely watchable. Same with Parks and Rec. I went from loving to hating both of those shows by the end.

Michael Scott is one of the best-written TV characters I've ever seen, they do a great job balancing your empathy for him with him being a shithead. He wants to fit in and not just be The Boss, but the management/labor divide is difficult to cross, and he tries to appeal to his underlings with crude, sexist, racist jokes. He's also completely clueless to how stupid he is.

My girlfriend watched the UK Office for the first time and is now on season 4 of the US one so I've dipped in and out for a few episodes at a time. I still love the bleakness and brevity of the UK Office, but the US one has some great characters. For me it starts tanking when Ed Helms' character comes in and the show gradually becomes zanier, losing that veneer of believability that makes the humor stand out so much better in all of the UK Office and the first couple seasons of the US one.

It was so crazy watching the Detectorists and seeing Gareth's actor play someone you could empathize with.

Gareth was written and conceived more as a big, hulking guy, playing up the ex-military thing, but they realized with Mackenzie Crook they could get away with making him a lot weirder.

Betting on Zero is a pretty dece documentary about the stock market in general in Herbalife in particular. The most shocking part of it to me is how easy it apparently is to run a thoroughly transparent pyramid scheme (I'm sorry, "multi-level marketing program" haha) for literally decades and nobody cares until someone talks about it on CNN for like 5 years straight.

I didn't mind Ed Helms at first, but in the end his character was one of the worst things about the show. After the Angela arc he became a likable character, and with a decent romantic fling with Erin. That said the Andy that came back after the boat trip didn't reconcile at all with the Andy that left. He was nothing but an rear end in a top hat. The writers just had no idea what to do with him. Honestly he should of just died at sea, but I feel like they just wanted Ed Helms still attached given the Hangover success. Isn't the reason he did the boat thing was to go off and film one of the Hangover movies?

Still The Office, along with MASH, is one of the my favorite things to re-watch when nothing else is on.

andy was always an irredeemable douche and i wanted him to ironically drown in a bathtub the day before his return flight from the boat trip

in fact i hoped most of the characters on that show wouldd have died by the end of season 9. now thats closure

what's a good comedy or weird movie to get high to on Netflix rn. and I don't mean some niche white people comedy like that broadway show where I have to get really lame references to laugh. anyone about to suggest the American Office plz sit down. maybe something from the 80s I missed (which would mean all of the 80s, I have seen Big Trouble in Little China and the Escape From movies).
I was leaning towards rewatching Gremlins (60% sure I saw that as a kid...or was that an MST3K knockoff...), there's no Encino Man (never saw that)...I did find The Assassin which I keep meaning to watch but that might be 2 heavy

The Benchwarmers is exactly the kind of poo poo I had to be constantly recommending to people when I worked at a Blockbuster Video years ago. People come and say "recommend something good", and you eventually learn from experience that what they want is the newest Rob Schneider/Kevin Smith/Steven Segal/Jean Claude Van Dam movie.

Definitely watch Gremlins, but for other options (not exclusively 80's): Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Heathers, Young Frankenstein, Super, The 36th Chamber of Shaolin, Legend of the Drunken Master, Deathgasm, The Wraith (80's), Hot Fuzz, The Manchurian Candidate, The Good The Bad & The Weird, Troll Hunter, Batman: The Movie, An American Werewolf In London

Disney movies are great for getting high. They have some good ones, like Fantasia or Atlantis.
