Yeah, but they weren't renounced. They still held allegiance and were an active spy, opposite Lucia. A technicality at best, I know. Still, with a questionable 3 Garleans(that Nero stinger was a bit ominous despite Cids comedic reactions) and a possible influx of former Imperials banding together under the Eorzean Alliance, actually looking forward to Garlemald.

The Great Twist
So a few things I've noticed on AST.

Aspected benefic is loving expensive. 1440 MP at 70, vs 480 for benefic. It costs as much as helios.
Collective Unconsciousness seems to break as soon as I cast it a lot. Might be lag related, but it fails half the time for me now.
I've used Redraw during really laggy times, and it's given me the same card back. I haven't seen it happen when things are working nice, but it was pretty common over the weekend.

Tanks like moving out of Earthly Star. This is the best use of Rescue I've found so far.

Ewer cards

e: I find myself giving myself empowered ewer cards more often than before (to keep up the gravity spam) but to be fair I haven't really looked at MP numbers to see how they changed.

I hate how it doesn't work when you're out of combat.

Like, I understand why from an anti-griefing perspective, but it's really annoying to use it how I want to because of that. Mostly because I want to grief with it.

Finally hit a groove grinding PoTD for easy samurai levels and I was just wondering, should I just convert my aether arms to the physical weapon as soon as I can so that I have a decent weapon when I hit 60 or should I keep the arms high to make the higher levels of PoTD easier?

Do you have enough poetics to buy the shire katana? Won't need the kinna weapon in that case.

If you're spamming them it's making GBS threads tomestones at you, just go grab and augment a shire weapon.

Alternatively the potd weapon looks bad rear end so hold onto your points until you're done grinding to 60 and give yourself a sick looking weapon. Padjal rapier :getin:

If you spend all your aetherpool points you have to go back to 1-50 before you can get back to grinding 51-60, I wouldn't say it's worth the sacrifice considering how less important it now is to have a strong level 60 weapon.

Pretty much. Since a Shire wep is now something like 400 Poetics just go directly to that and leave your arms/armor in PotD at max. Once you no longer have any combat classes you care to level up, feel free to spend the PotD points on glamour weps unless you have plans for a solo or deep run.

Not even for augmenting. The augment item is just 100 poetics.

you straight up buy a micro tomestone for like 50 poetics and 10 Rowena's token of scripture which are 40 each from hismena in the other catagory at the bottom. That you can trade to the girl on hismena's left for a 260 shire weapon.

You can also buy an illuminati deepest gobdip for 50-100 poetics to take the weapon south of those stalls out the door and across the street to augment the weapon to 270.

60+. Maybe earlier if you don't have a class at 60 yet and thus aren't getting the 2x armory bonus for POTD.

Yeah, gear has literally no influence on your stats. It's entirely cosmetic. Every instance of a job you see has the same stats, +/- their pvp traits.
