I don't care if other trades follow that, the return for a top 6 center and a possible starter/top notch back up is garbage. And it makes no sense because the Rangers are in win now mode until Hank really falls off. And they're clearly banking on him not doing so by flipping Raanta. The blue line sucks, yeah, but Miller and Hayes are poo poo at center and one of the two is going to be centering the 2nd line. Figured they'd want Raanta there to be able to eat some extra starts during the season but maybe they like Hellberg that much/plan on grabbing Mason or someone?

They're a lot better off than most teams and have a solid core of forwards, along with McDonagh and Skej that has gone to the playoffs for several years in a row. I just don't get this, because if they're not going to really blow it up and move guys like Nash (1 yr left) and Hank, why bother?

I know Antonio Davis had dual citizenship for the period where he played for the Raptors, largely because his kids were still fairly young and in elementary school. Of course, I also remember him saying he was a bit relieved when Chicago traded for him, not because he disliked being a Raptor, but because he didn't like that his kids were learning metric.
