I'm not going to lie, the practically-required sub at $13 a month to participate in the economy leaves an extremely bad taste in my mouth. At that point I may as well go play LOTRO.

Well yeah, but my life blood is direct trading, the mail system, et cetera. I gave away a truckload of stuff yesterday. I couldn't even do that in SWL. That's insane. I don't understand why there's not a Legacy status that grants those features without Patron, but even with that my will to play would be sapped knowing I'd have a hell of a time doing trades. Everyone who is online right now was invited except Brometheus who is ignoring them. Everyone who is in the cabal can invite other goons, so it should go faster now. Alt-tab closes all the open UI windows you have, which is retarded. I guess I have to rebind the alt key.

The grenade mechanic for AR is very fun. Less so if you explode yourself. Also holy poo poo loading times are blisteringly quick now.

We do have a few months of grind removed thanks to unlocked weapon pages, which is awesome.

I still haven't seen anything that fundamentally different than the original game, I don't under why they couldn't/didn't just convert the original to freemium or whatever. I'm in KS questing and everything is the same except I get dailies and area specific kill 10 bear asses quests that pop up.

Because they wanted to reset the economy and skills. Hard to sell anything to anyone when they have millions of Pax. There are a lot of UI upgrade and skill/animation overhauls. But that's an expansion for any other game.

There can't be much of an economy when most people can't trade and have hard limits on AH listings per day. Plus, most people in TSW had no pax. You know the guy who ran TSWDB? I don't know how I feel about it, but the cache keys we get are pretty expensive so that's a nice bonus. There isn't a single unified cash shop, is there? I haven't found where to buy the reagent that lets me upgrade items with aurum so I'm guessing it's part of whatever ui element we use for it.
