I never played through to endgame the first time around (I fell into a weapon trap with a lovely solo build) so I will probably keep this around to finish al the story stuff. That seems fun.

If I had some complaints (because again, nerdy spergelord): despite the mechanics of each weapon being very different (a good thing), they still feel mostly the same where it's spam primary power, spam secondary power, then hit basic until you can fire your primary again. And I've decided that action queuing is what made combat in the original feel floaty, and that feeling has been intensified in this one now that it's tied to mouse clicks.

Agreed with the samey feel of most of the weapons. Shotguns/Blades are like that and feel much better as a result. They should take a similar approach to rewarding different gameplay with the other weapons.

An amusing image. Apparently at one point, the exchange was so bugged that no matter what price someone set for Aurum, it would sell for 1 MoF. The person that sold it would get their full money though. Then the exchange started giving people 2X Aurum per transaction. loving amazing.

The only reason I've got the three characters in TSW was for the separate faction stuff. Since from what I've seen, stuff like the faction quests are gone so why bother with multiple characters especially if you've found a weapon set that you like and works well for you.

If by test you mean, did they give the 100 beta testers 1k Aurum a week for the last two weeks of beta and see what happened, yes. If you mean did they do large scale testing where they gave a few people large quantities of Aurum to see what would happen, no. Did they have GMs putting Aurum into the system to test what happened when large amounts entered it, no.

This was the same philosophy applied to pretty much all the testing. What is the absolute minimal amount of testing we can get by with? Does the system functional work on the face of it. Great. We're done.

Thinking about it, I really do not understand how this economy is any better than original flavor TSW's.

So, OK. You can pick up a MK3 weapon with a good suffix and sell it for 10k marks. Sure why not.

So, how in all the world is this going to result in anything different from how most signets were not worth a drat, and the few good ones hit 15 mil, 40+ mil, etc Pax? At least that Pax was obtainable by running dungeons! People are only going to want the good MK3s!

Have I lost my mind here? Am I missing some silver lining?

I think that's p much it. MK3/the talisman one will be the items we all want. MK I and II will be fodder for the grind to 16 max level greens.

I feel like at one point they were saying part of the "crafting" economy would be that you could sell upgraded items to other players, but upgrading them binds them to you so I guess that didn't happen after all.
