Skal, Papajohn and Richardson combined for less than 1000 minutes last year. Buddy is almost 24, was pretty ok for a rookie, and played almost 2000 minutes last year. I don't really see what a Summer League run will do but I guess Vivek likes to see his pet play.

Some extra info on the new two-way deals here. A one-year deal guarantees between $75,000 and $275,000 for the player, they can be included in trades, and teams can submit qualifying offers to players on the deals to officially call them up to the roster. Players also accrue Bird rights while on two-way deals.quote:The important note here is the $275,000 figure is not guaranteed. Cavs are the leading contenders for a Post-Buyout Melo. Probably the same for Wade. Getting CP3 here would probably take trading Kyrie for him, which I would be against, but we have to please Lebron, he has hand!
