Went to a reseller type store today. Place is open a few hours each weekend. Anyway, saw a few things I really liked: The Jones car from the Temple of Doom chase set. Dunno if I $60 like it, but it's a cool car. The Lone Ranger Stagecoach is pretty awesome. And I just got the Alien Mothership on ebay for a pretty decent price. I'm so addicted to these stupid things right now.

I would have loved the Modulars when I was 9. Actually, when I was 9 I loved the Galaxy Explorer. But seriously, back at that age, I loved big complex building projects. 5000 piece puzzles. Then I started playing sports.

Stand the rocket vertically on the top shelf, for maximum holy cow.

There's actually still one more shelf to add in that picture at the top. The rocket would only fit vertically on the bottom 3 shelves, not enough ceiling space on the top 2

I first started out wanting to make an assembly crane for my Saturn V. Initial testing with the crawler crane I bought showed that I could barely get it to lift the S-II stage. I don't know if I'd be able to build one able to lift the S-IC. So it might morph into just being a launch tower. I have a bunch of red lift arms from the grand prix racer, so I could build those outside the current central section. I also have the tracked bottom of the crawler crane that I might integrate into it, but that thing barely moves with just the crawler crane. I'd have to do a wicked gear reduction. This is what it would look like, roughly. 110mm diameter (gives about 5mm clearance)

Keep us posted.

Dont give Lego the idea to inflate piece count, thats the last thing we need. As an aside what is everyone using for working out their MOCs? edit: Also someone in china is producing sets of this https://ideas.lego.com/projects/c7e47c3b-867d-47d1-a5ac-a3d29a0530dc Admittedly I kind of like the little starbucks. Just snagged a Saturn from Amazon using Now In Stock. I had added one earlier but it went sold out before I could complete checkout. Crazy how quick these things go. Also holy gently caress that bus. Most of this year has been a pass for most sets, but the back half of this year is getting expensive between the rocket, bus, fishing store and the Ninjago D2C.

I also have a bunch of Galaxy Squad stuff to get rid off, I really need to free up room for the Assembly Square and the Saturn V. On the plus side I manage to offload a box of 6 Star War sets for $250 on Craigslist the other day, met up with another man child that took one look at the box, didn't even negotiate and paid what I was asking for.
