Otherwise, once they pull threat from you, Shirk to them immediately before you Provoke for a 25% enmity lead. If you're OT, Provoke then immediately Shirk to them to guarantee yourself 2nd place on enmity. Otherwise, Shirk then Provoke them to guarantee a massive threat lead over your DPS. (This requires your MT to either back off from enmity generation or to be in DPS stance on reaction to your Provoke.) Assuming no swapping, you can combine Shirk and Provoke to multiply your tanking enmity lead over the DPS players and guarantee safety to push pure damage for the rest of the fight without worrying about enmity. Assuming vindictiveness, you can Shirk the rear end in a top hat Samurai who categorically refuses to use Diversion, watch him die like the worm he is, then regain threat.

OT provokes, gets 101 threat. MT shirks onto OT and now OT has 126 threat; MT has 75. MT provokes, MT has 127 threat and OT has 126. OT shirks back onto MT and now MT has 158 (or 159, I don't know which way the rounding goes). The idea is to use it and provoke to create a mega tank aggro lead by using shirk to get both tanks to contribute to it and provoke to pass it so they can keep shirking. afaik the way it goes is Tank A starts at MT and Tank B uses shirk so some of their aggro goes to Tank A. Tanks do their thing until shirk is finished where Tank B provokes the enemy off of Tank A to get all of their accumulated aggro + 1 and becomes MT. Then Tank A activates shirk to give some of their aggro to Tank B. This means the tank can get a commanding aggro lead which means they can spend more time in DPS stance to kill bosses faster. e: beaten by slowpostin' again! also more accurate, I forgot how shirk worked exactly

ugh, leveling is like the fastest queue for DPS right now, so I kinda feel like they should have just put that in the 50/60 and the 70s. at least this will keep people from getting stuck during MSQ progression? as a DPS main I'm very happy they're doing things to get more tanks/healers in the mix no matter what, though

Spent all my play time today gathering glamour bits. Mostly the sword Schlaeger from Castrum Abania and the caster boots from The Vault. However my glamour is complete. Its actually for my new RDM retainer, I've decided to remodel all my retainers after characters (does anyone else do this?) Kinda tempted to do X'Ruhn instead though.

It sounds  but this is the game. Your fun and enjoyment is just as important as theirs and to be quite honest, most people remember a smooth run of say, Stone Vigil that maybe took 5 mins longer than some rando who pulled 2 groups of ice elementals + 4 drakes and AE'd the poo poo down. (don't do this)If a DPS bitches, just laugh at them because who gives a poo poo. They waited 45 mins to get in. A little bit longer wont kill them. With gear and practice you'll know what you can and can not do with different group makeups. The game needs more good tanks, not speedrunners.
