A lot of loose crap had gotten down there when we went to run some replacement cable, it had been written off in inventory ages before, and so I took it home and tried it. I drank a lot at the time, did I mention that? Not my brightest move. Pre-FDA intervention energy drinks don't do good things when they expire and break down. \/\/ edit: Yeah, I can talk and things now, the only real long term effects are I can tell I've been hitting soda too hard if I wake up and my throat is raw the next few days. claw game handjob fucked around with this message at 21:44 on Jul 8, 2017 |

So what's the deal with movies suddenly changing their entire marketing pitch months before release now? It's happened to a ton of movies like Life, Dunkirk and now Geostorm where for like half a year they showed trailers that showed the movie in a very specific way. But then like right before release they drop new trailers that make it look like a completely different genre. What is going on with movies now? Like the early trailers made Geostorm look like another 2012 or something where the apocalypse happens. But now it's apparently an action thriller where all the natural disasters are just backdrop to comedic presidential kidnapping? Also I saw a new trailer for Valerian when I went to see Spiderman; like half of it was just super videogamey shots of a spaceman in space armor bursting through walls. It was a very bad trailer.

With Geostorm I'm less convinced it was targeting and more convinced some studio exec actually went to a movie and heard people laughing during the previous trailer.

The early trailers for Despicable Me 3 heavily emphasized the fact that Trey Parker is the brother of Steve Carell's character, and yet every ad I've seen since has made absolutely no mention of it.

It seemed like it was more about a new villain showing up. Every trailer after that basically just has a tiny clip of him and the rest of it features overly long clips of minions in prison between shots of the brother jokes.

My first exposure to this was the second trailer and it looked like an Asylum movie or one of those CBS "Category X" movies. The SFX looked so bad that I couldn't believe I was watching Warner Bros. film. Also, this film looks like everyone on the downslope of their careers.

Yeah Casino Royale is not subtle about Bond being a blunt object MI6 throws at its problems. One of the first action sequences has him running through a wall.

You could almost say he transcends henchman and became a legit villain just because of how awesome he was in that movie. I consider From Russia With Love my favorite Bond film, and fully half of that is Shaw, he elevates the whole thing. He's the reason why the entire last section on the train is so endlessly entertaining.
