I impulse bought a HP Stream with 2gb and windows 10 and it is godawful and completely non-upgradeable, but it was dirt cheap so Really they should just ship them straight from the factory to the landfill imo.

my work gives us crappy Dell Latitude ultrabooks and I've been trying to argue for a while that we should get a higher spec option for devs but reading this thread I can see why we don't why won't Dell won't sell you anything better that's not a huge piece of poo poo? don't they like money?
