Should mention for benefit of anyone not aware that Evans is mainly a radio presenter for the Beeb - his show has the largest audience in the country. No idea who the highest-paid actor they have is. Probably Cumberbatch and Freeman whenever they do Sherlock.

The highest paid-actor is genuinely someone from Casualty. Which is like.....I dunno, soap opera medical drama I've never seen an episode of. I have no idea who the actor is either. It's baffling. It's been going for a long time but that paycheque was genuinely surprising.

He's consistently the least funny person on his own shows and he's responsible for the pox of "show talking about the show you just watched" shows also The Nerdist is embarrassing garbage

Don't need to watch post show talk shows. I enjoy his podcast. If AMC didn't hire him, they'd have hired Ryan Seacrest or someone else.

I liked the podcast in it's early years when Chris Hardwick was just some washed up MTV personality and his guests were his actual friends and acquaintances, but success definitely ruined him and post-Talking Dead is mostly just him talking about how rich and successful he is to bored celebrities. I think the exact episode I bailed was when he had Paul McCartney on to promote Destiny and somehow managed to spend most of the interview talking about his haters on Twitter and how hard it is to be successful.

One of his recent ones with Trey Parker was fun, they both nerded out over Zelda.

Yeah, it's a really obvious Tory ploy to get people to hate the BBC. Most of the outraged people will have no idea that their equivalents on privately-owned channels earn way way more. But still gently caress Chris Evans and also Gary Lineker for truly revealing his champagne socialist colours wrt all this.

I recall Ross/Rachel being inexplicably popular, and I never understood why. Chandler and Phoebe are the best.

@midnight was great for a couple years there but I'm struggling to remember the last funny episode of it I saw. Even the last few times I've seen series champions like Ron Funches and Doug Benson on there, they weren't especially funny. I'm okay with it being cancelled. Chris Hardwick seems to have a new show popping up every other month anyway so it's not like he'll be missed.

I didn't watch it past the first couple weeks but I'm hella checking out the McElroy episode when that airs.

I checked out of @mid (not that i followed it religiously or anything) when the number of skits and chris rants took a sharp uptick. You could see the boredom on the guest's faces every time one of those started up.

We used to have debates on the playground during elementary school about whether Ross and Rachel were on a break. Friends was so big you didn't need the internet to know people's opinions. Ross and Rachel were def in favour over Monica and Chandler are the best of them all, tho. e: weed's a helluva drug

Monica and Chandler eventually did come to make sense as they're both petty neurotic assholes with no self esteem (but woof that fat suit gimmick was godawful even for the time) but I think it would have made a lot more sense to have the "wasted potential gen x loser" pair up with the "whimsical gen x flower power girl". I demand tactical realism from my sitcoms, bah gawd. I know, I know, we try not to sexualize Phoebe, but she was easily the most attractive of the three.

I loved Phoebe's cavalcade of weird boyfriends, though. And I thought Paul Rudd was a welcome addition at the end.

Friends is a garbage show and its only lasting appeal will be Rachel's hairstyles that future generations will mimic when they do 90s themed parties

Welcome back to Fake Forums Jeopardy folks! Our final jeopardy category is Terrible Terrible TV Ideas. Here's the answer: "It's a terrible idea in any political climate, but despite it's GoT pedigree, this future HBO show about the south having won the civil war and having modern day slavery is going to be a disaster in Trump's America." "What is Confederate?" That's right, and what did you bid? "I bid 'the description of this show features the phrase 'the executives of a slave-holding conglomerate' ' " Congratulations! We'll see you next time on Fake Forums Jeopardy. I take all of this back if it's just a Tarantino-esque excuse to kill a bunch of confederate loving fuckers
