I was really worried I was going to be the first person to both see it and realize it was a reflection. Thank god for this page. What a madhouse.

Identifying that area as a reflection reduces the apparent height of the spaghetti bolus quite significantly. I was seeing it as another big layer of mystery glop too until I mentally forced the thing to appear flatter to me so I was seeing more of the platter further away from the camera.

The thing that upsets me most about the gooburger is that it's another case of WHERE IS THE loving PLATE? How can you serve food that you're supposed to smother in sauce on just a flat piece of wood slapped onto the flat table Cheese sauce all running off the "plate" and into your lap Poor busboy has to mop up 5 inches of congealed cheesespunk at the end of his shift this is why god doesn't talk to us anymore

Why are Americans so obsessed about covering everything in cheese? You take what looks like a perfectly fine burger with a toasted bun, and just cover it in gooey poo poo. Is it the salt content in cheese that makes it more palatable? loving season it right from the start! I have so many angry questions. e: In my anger I didn't notice it's from a London restaurant. But yeah, it's often used as a lazy shortcut to add flavor or make something feel like an indulgance instead of just a regular food.

The restaurant where I work makes a scratch-made queso that's amazing and any time we have a bunch left at the end of the night, the GM of the pizza place next door conveniently swings by to take a pint or so off our hands. She goes back to the pizza place and makes a large pizza with 4+ toppings, then drenches it in queso. She looks exactly like you think she does.

The boil-up looks like pork and greens and potatoes and some kind of broth? I'd eat it. Looks a little like a bone-in version of Grünkohl, which is probably AFP but also delicious as gently caress.
