Marty's thing toward the Raiders is that they were always very talented, but their lack of discipline and carelessness always costed them against teams with a similar level of talent but also played in a more disciplined, detail-oriented fashion. It's why his Chiefs and Chargers teams had ridiculous W/L records against them. Ironically the "talented but fucks themselves over due to stupid mistakes"is basically the bulk of the Chargers' history when they've been contenders, so whatev.
