It sounded like no one there knew how to set up audio correctly. Like how to you let horrible distortion continue without making adjustments, is there not a loving sub level knob somewhere? Or just turn down the volume geez.

I saw a wierd little Daihatsu on the road yesterday. Couldn't work out what its badge said. Then I realised that there was a new MCM out so I watched that thisafternoon and found myself conveniently educated about Daihatsu's - including the information that it was a Copen that I saw. Today I have also been educated about Fiat wiring. They don't run an ignition switched ACC feed to the standard looking ISO plugs behind the head unit, only a permanent live. Then they sneak 2 CAN cables into the ISO connector inplace of some of the less useful wires and the Fiat head unit switches on and off with the ignition using those. So if you want to fit a different head unit you have to dig out an ACC feed from somewhere else to make it turn on and off properly.

Who needs standards Going by ISO10487 (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Connectors_for_car_audio) Connector B is as per standard Connector A has CAN-H on pin 1 (speed sensor according to the spec) and CAN-L on Pin 3 (the optional connector) and Pin 4 is empty rather than having ACC +12V. I guess this doesn't mess anything up dangerously and almost makes sense since the speed signal comes off the CAN bus anyway. They are just being clever bastards using the CAN rather than a standard ACC feed. stump posted:I think I had a similar issue with my Vivaro - is the cigarette lighter a switched live you can pull from? I'm about to pull the dash apart and play with my multi-meter! The cig lighter is quite far away. I think the dash lights are on all the time so I might just use them and a relay. I am also lazy which also means that the chances of me accidentally leaving the radio on and flattening the battery are quite high. Especially since they are now legal in the USA. Lots of people here to drive prices skyward. I always liked the Pao more anyway, it's a 90s VW Thing made by Nissan. Canvas top available, 5 speed manual and available A/C. or the Be-1 Or the S-Cargo but that seems way more gimmicky than any of these cars. Made at the same time by the same studio as the Figaro. GM has been a fan of this party trick for awhile, as well as running chimes, dings, dongs, basically any noise the car makes, through the stereo. There's plenty of adapters that take care of this for you, but they add another $50-150 (depending on if you want to retain OnStar).

Just had to dig out an ACC from the fuse panel conveniently located in the center console just below the radio.

If you're feeling down today or maybe like you made some poor decisions in the past, I am here to cheer you up. At least you're not the young kid in dentistry school at a prestigious university, who decided today would be a great day to take LSD/whatever was sold to him as LSD, and come to my workplace to trip. I work at a nice, quiet, arts/museum sort of place. You might say that sounds kind of a nice way to spend a day, and it would have been if he could handle his poo poo - instead, he stripped off his pants/underwear and rushed at a family of seven while grabbing himself. I almost, almost felt bad for him as he sat there on the ground repeatedly asking the arresting officer what was happening, why he had to be cuffed, and if it would affect his career as a dentist He had no recollection of getting naked, dude was blitzed out of his mind. Thankfully, the kids hadn't really seen anything and didn't understand what all the fuss was about, much like the dude. Don't do internet darknet drugs kids, even if you snuck a few huffs of nitrous in dental school and thought it was fun.

Just had to dig out an ACC from the fuse panel conveniently located in the center console just below the radio. 06+ went to the corporate GM stereo that did all that. Older Cobalts only ran the DIC (if equipped) through the stereo; 06+ had the DIC in the cluster and moved the chimes to the stereo. Funny that Cobalts had the fuse panel there too; I thought that was just a Saturn thing. Oddly, my 06 Ion also came with the corporate stereo (just different color lighting; it can be flashed via Tech2 to work in a Cobalt, Tahoe, Suburban, etc), but was only tied into CAN (well, GM-LAN) for OnStar in the Ion's case. Chimes come from a speaker in the cluster, the only thing you lose by ripping out the corporate stereo and not using a GM-LAN adapter is OnStar (you also get a persistent B2aaa code on OBD2 readers if you rip out the factory stereo on an Onstar equipped Ion). I guess GM knew by then that they'd be killing the Ion off after the 07 model year and opted not to change any wiring when they moved to the newer radio. The wiring is identical to the 03-05, but 03-05 had a 1.5 DIN Saturn-branded stereo. Ions never got a DIC either.

The good news for him is that indecent exposure is a specific intent crime (generally) and voluntary intoxication can counter specific intent. Generally indecent exposure requires a sexual intent, which is really hard to prove when witness like you agree the reason he did it was because he was high, not a perv. He should get convicted of taking a controlled substance, which would generally be diverted here. This is extra likely if he is white and rich. Also, there is a massive sexist double standard for indecent exposure for men v. women. A woman can be running around naked, visibly exposing inner parts to kids, and she'll get a disturbing the peace charge with me barely having to work. Dude slightly exposes himself? Welcome to lifetime sex offender registry, population: you. The patriarchy hurts us all. I've had to fight for no registration on obvious joke streaking cases (which isn't even a crime here, but who wants to go to trial on something if lifetime sex registration is in the cards?) edit: Socal?
