A friend of mine put it best "the average citizen doesn't play the game. And if he does he doesn't care for gameplay, game performance or networking. Look at us, wew, nearly doxxed myself lol, we are a bunch of salty players, half of us refunded and the other half went away to not have to see the misery this game became. We have seen too much, played too much. The emperor has no clothes. If I was at cig I would ignore what we say at this point too, because they already got the last penny from us and we are just possible refund losses to them"

It'll just take more brave women to wade into another male dominated avenue, but it'll equal out eventually. Some of the best and smartest professors I had were women, too. Just another hurdle to cross. I don't how to express this properly but the number of women in CS (e: in the US at least) has been decreasing steadily for decades. There was a time in the eighties when almost 40% of the CS undergraduate students in the US were women. The hurdle was already crossed, and -for whatever reason- women jumped back. Hopefully they'll give it another try.

This leads me to believe that it will all be thrown 'out the door' as soon as the last task is complete with minimal evocati/ptu testing as soon as the last task is done and the whole patch will be a broken mess just like 2.3.2 was earlier this year. I don't think they they're going to push back the release date later than gamescom because i don't think even CR is shameless enough to walk on stage after the utter disaster that 3.0's dev cycle has been with a straight face, shrug his shoulders and say "welp, it's still not done!". The Fourth Stimpire has origins from the Ten Empire War in which 10 of the United Stimpires revolted against each rules. All empires except for the fourth swore freedom upon their citizens. There is no free speech in the Fourth Stimpire, and all self-controlled transportation has been made illegal without undergoing painful medical verification methods, in which arteries are severed without pain resistant, operated entirely by machines. The way they work claim to be the most hygenic and healthy way possible, but these machines often rub against pain points, causing great deals of pain to patients. The heart is then extracted from the body and placed into a glass grinding machine. Various energy centers are also dissected and replaced with dangerous transplants. After the painful, 52 hour surgical procedure, patients will then have to use a fused guidance tool, which pumps painful resistors into the body every 2 hours. The pain they have caused is so bad, the victim would freeze in a tense position. They would then collapse afterwards.

Seriously, has no-one asked about this on reddit or spectrum? Has no developer stopped for a moment to consider this? As an aside does anyone have a good game they could recommend for ipad?

What new vehicles are expected to come with 3.0? I see some expecting that most recent bike (Aopoa Nox), and the new buggy (Tumbril Cyclone). I'm thinking not. A rework of the Aurora, I think, is the only vehicle thing slated for 3.0. Are Aopoa and Tumbril newly introduced companies in the lore?

See "the dream" is that each autistic narcissistic space captain will have a full crew of loyal human players who are ready to jump to commands and generally be their space bitches like it's some kind of elite prestigious raiding guild from everquest. So those people will do all the boring stuff while Captain Autism masturbates on the bridge while issuing commands. Or at least, that's "the dream". Reality would be "You are alone and nobody wants to play with you because lol your social skills are non existent you unlikable gently caress. Have fun with your thousand dollar space barge you can't crew".

Well done CIG for making this previously unattainable goal a reality.

What's hosed up is that women had made many of the key advances in the field early on and they were well on their way to having 50/50 representation until the mid 80's. Then, many things happened to drive prospective young women away from CS. http://www.npr.org/sections/money/2014/10/21/357629765/when-women-stopped-coding

A rework of the Aurora, I think, is the only vehicle thing slated for 3.0. I think planetary vehicles will be in, for a couple of reasons: Ground vehicles in a Crysis mod aren't too challenging. This would add new content (usable vehicles in a new environment) that they can pitch as progress, even if it does have a loading screen initially (like it will ever go away). Ground vehicles bring it back to a near level playing field for old and new backers, so they can monetize the arms race to get better and better vehicles - might keep them going for a while longer. The backers will probably fall over themselves with excitement that they can do something new, they will praise it as unprecedented and as proof Derek was wrong, and they will try and eke out what gameplay they can in this 'space game'. radd fucked around with this message at 14:51 on Jul 23, 2017 |

Ground will be amazing. Remember Elite Dangerous and how fun it was to drive endlessly on massive airless moons with nothing of interest to do outside of a handful of bland activities? No? Oh. Oh god, just realized it's going to be even worse than that in SC. In ED you couldn't dismount and it took effort to die in your buggy. So in SC if your ride gets wrecked for whatever reason and you're on foot... well, enjoy your 10 hour hike to the nearest way off the rock (assuming you even have one).
