Hyperlynx posted:Nope. this is where it gets tricky: asimov isn't always credited with authoring books in every category so the fact as written is false but asimov did write the introductions, compiled the graphs, illustrations and wrote additional commentaries for 28 chapters of Psychology Today by braun and linder but he only gets mentioned as being a major contributor in the acknowledgements rather than having co-author status in the first edition of the book; in later editions (that keep his contributions) where there are like 4-5 co-authors asimov is sometimes elevated to being a full co-author, but that elevation's not true of every edition - that book would cover the gap in phil & psychology good luck untangling that one hard counter has a new favorite as of 19:32 on Jul 25, 2017 |

That may work for cab drivers, but Uber is still gonna bill your card. Idiots.

I walked by a truck a couple weeks ago and noticed the guy in the driver's seat was getting blown. I thought it was funny.

I'm sure abuse happens, but there's a check on the police taking whatever they wanted. The owner of a head shop I worked at sold meth on the side. Of course when the DEA came, they took his money. But they also tried to go after the assets of the shop, including the high-end water pipes. The lawyer successfully made the case that the seizure of the business assets was unjustified. The lawyer wasn't a mob lawyer, either. He made the same case any lawyer would have made. After all, the rules of this country were made by lawyers, not cops.

Here's the thing: Lots of businesses are barely making it and don't sell meth on the side for lawyer money.

A lot of victims of civil forfeiture abuse can't afford lawyers and it's why it gets abused heavily. It is not something worth defending. Especially with good old Jeff Sessions wanting to expand it.
