The democrats will continue to ignore leftist influences that could win them votes, instead relying on dynasties and stale politics from yesteryear. An obvious joke.

"Stop living in the 'would haves' and 'what-ifs' of the past, and focus on salvaging the here and NOW," I think? Though agreed that it's either taking an unnecessarily sanctimonious angle, or it's generic "both sides (of the party) are bad" drivel if you take the candidates into account.

Alleviates some of the tension getting placed on the Democratic party whenever it appears they have absolutely no clue what it is they're doing or wanting to do.

An article on this one.

Mail-carriers' union guidelines on the Hatch Act.

Meanwhile, Trump has been urging the military and now the Boy Scouts to push Congress to support the GOP health care repeal, which is pretty unusual, but hey.

Man, ya'all are dense. What's the common theme with all of those candidates?

The cartoon is making fun of the brogressive. The guy who loves socialism but doesn't give a poo poo about feminist issues. The fact that you all completely ignored the whole concept behind the cartoon and focused on "but... Bernie!" Kind of proves the cartoon's point.

The more I read about Trump's speech at the Boy Scout thing the more I think it's one of the worst things he's done yet as president.

Edit: oh never mind, that's not a picture from that. The point stands though. I'm sure we'll see some great cartoons about that later.

Man, Pricky City may not have the worst political positions or the worst art among thread regulars but by God, it's got to be one of the most inept political cartoons of the bunch. This is something that nobody would find funny or insightful. There are two possible reactions to this: "I don't know what covfefe means" and "ugh, that reference is so old it's painful."

Worse, it doesn't mean anything. It's just a reference. A unfunny reference.

I mean, at least Tinsley has a message. That message is poo poo, but he conveys it. Stanis doesn't have anything to say, and he will not say it over and over again.

Tinsley is usually going for a joke. Once in a blue moon, he even succeeds in landing one, believe it or not. Prickly city, which has now become my most hated cartoon, doesn't have jokes. It has something similar to jokes. Joke simulacra, if you will, but with the inherit structure and meaning of the joke missing entirely. There's no punchlines, but the beats are there; you can almost feel them. It's like you could almost picture what a joke could be like, if it was written into the comic.

Stantis knows what he has to say and doesn't want to say it. It's one thing to own to one decision being a mistake, quite another to admitting that his party has not only allowed this man to become President but has supported him.

Fun fact: a psychic many years ago predicted that the 44th President would be black. She also predicted that he would be the last President. So far, she ain't wrong.

He resolved that one pretty quickly by blaming the entire Iraq War on Obama-bunny, and then agreeing with the neocons he'd just rehabilitated in his head that Obama is a pussy and we need to invade Iraq again and probably some other countries too.

There's a reason I keep toying with and abandoning the idea of doing a Prickly city / Stannis-Alley profile. Ramirez or Rall or Tinsley may be hateful and nauseating, but at least there's something there to hate, a lovely stance they are actually willing to take.

This is the dumbest poo poo. Every Sanders supporter I know likes Warren fine. If anything, it was the Warren people who sabotaged him by running a quixotic months long "draft Warren" campaign when she explicitly said she wasn't running.

Also, who the gently caress is declaring front-runners this early? Isn't picking a candidate what primaries are for? Have democrats really learned nothing from last year's botched coronation?

Also you gotta love that straw-manning. "They support him now, they'll obviously support him when he's a hundred years old. BTW, did you know that Sanders is old and his supporters are all white men?"

They basically had to lead with Warren to get any traction, seeing they follow it up with a wannabe Republican Lite and two literal Dynasty Candidates declared as front runners before the primaries start again.
