Man, that's some of the most inept "shadowing" I've ever seen. It looks more like Amos has been rolling around on a dirty floor.

Perhaps you have not been to the *Playground*.
The *Playground* is for Taalo and for Orz, but *Campers* can go.
It more fun than several.
You can go there for too much fun.

I decided to compromise and dropped Shoe and Bound And Gagged since I didn't enjoy reading them in any sense, even hate-reading.

Please compromise further and drop all of Holbrook's work, and Mother Goose and Grim. Hagar the Horrible is aptly named hohn hohn hohn so you could safely drop that, and Lockhorns is just I hate my wife with no jokes, so that can go too. While you're at it, Brewster Rockit can go just for its constant wink wink nudge nudging of man aren't our jokes just so bad they're funny?
That'd be the best compromise

My theory is that his comics are so drat weird as a result of them running for decades with real-time-aging characters. No resets to the status quo, so it just keeps drifting to stranger and stranger places.

Nope. I like when this thread has a big mix of comics - reminds me of reading an actual comic page in a newspaper.

Slammy speaks for me: I grew up reading the comics in the paper, every day, and this thread has become my daily fix. I do like that people post what they are particularly fond of, interested in, or love to hate - it adds personality to the thread - but I don't like the idea of comics getting voted out.

And I also like the Lockhorns, and that Hoest artistic style. If there were archives of their old single-panel comics from Parade, I'd post 'em (or welcome their arrival).
