Jaime should be king, right? I know he had a kingsguard vow or whatever, but this crazy lady just blew up a bunch of nobles and the holy site of the religion the masses were really into. And Westeros is misogynistic to boot. You'd think Jamie would have shown up and been involuntarily crowd-surfed onto the Iron Throne.

He probably realizes that it would sound terribly convenient to claim the king he killed right before opening the gates to his dad's army had it coming 'cause he was planning to do a real bad thing promise scout's honor.

It's this. There is no one (noble) who could confirm his story and he is too proud to give the impression that he is coming up with an excuse for his deeds. He also feels deeply conflicted about breaking the oath he grew up thinking was the best poo poo in the entire world and doesn't want to drag it further through the mud than he already has.

I think the whole reason Tyrion is heading to Casterly rock to take it over is cos it will piss off Cersei to no end that HE had the audacity to take over her and Jaime's home. Its going to be like a massive mind gently caress with her I doubt it has anything to do with the mines etc, but if they were working it would be nice. I have a feeling the main thing is to show Cersei that "neener neener we took yo house...the seat of the Lannisters and oh, yeah, we are the last of them now aren't we? And look it's the midget Lannister, the guy you HATE who did it. and is giving it to the other side...your ENEMY" Its going to piss her off to no end that the little brother she thinks killed her son, that she has hated for so long, has seized and stolen the Lannister House seat. I can't wait to see how ticked off she gets at this

Okay if you have your balls you're not a eunich. Also, the fake China in the east has a bunch of fake ads Chinese names written by someone who clearly doesn't know anything about it. But Westeros just has normal names for people. That's dumb.

Show them the gallons of wildfire stashed around the city. The ones that have also conveniently never been randomly discovered or blown up in 20 years. And even if he couldn't prove it, the guys name was the loving mad king. They draw the line at believing he wanted to go out with a bang?

He could've told Ned or his dad right at the time when the wildfire was still there (well, it stayed there 20 years or whatever anyway). In my headcannon, Jaime made it up years later because he was ashamed in the face of Breinne taking her knighty vows seriously.

I think its a few things 1 - Jaime and the king were alone when he threatened to blow up everything so it's his word against a dead guy, leaving room for doubt 2 - Jaime was already generally regarded to be a dick-bag 3 - It was still breaking an oath and since people hold others to higher standards than they hold themselves, they loved judging him for that And it's not like he was exiled or anything, he just got a (kind of cool) nickname for it

I think Jaimie explained it in the books that Ned was the first one to show up. He hated Ned and didn't want to start justifying himself to mister honorable because he knew Ned would be like "sorry bro vows, you hosed up" no matter how right he was. So he left and the story got out of control before he could bother to fix it.

Ned, a high lord, enters the throne room completely alone during the sacking of the entire city. Inside he sees nobody is in the throne room during the sacking of the entire city, save for Jamie and the body of the king. "oops sorry wrong door was looking for the bathroom"

And now she's sitting on her goddamn hands. obviously the best solution is to besiege king's landing for years and let all the peasants starve to death - dany, totally a good ruler(just ask mereen) also a master strategy from tyrion to split your forces to take Casterly Rock because it will totes piss off Cersei
