Problem is that she comes in like an act late to the story and spends an entire dungeon's worth of time trapped in stone. But it seems possible.

Now, an Emil route...

I'll give you the stone point, but it's not like you play the first 'half' of the game in any playthrough bar the first, so that appearing an act late thing is moot. It's an interesting theory considering you can hear Tyran in later playthroughs.

Not that an Emil playthrough would be anything short of amazing mind you.

I suppose the new intro warrants the question: Is that stubby just a thematically appropriate parallel for Eve or is it actually Eve's consciousness pre-flesh-tones?
Since we don't know enough about Adam and Eve's creation to know if the machines made whole new beings or just uploaded a couple machine minds into much better bodies, feels like it's a bit up in the air. We do know they were definitely connected to the network, unlike most of the other new-behavior machines.

I think I figured out why I like the Stubbies so much. They remind me a lot of the Rascal Robot wind-up toys from when I was a kid. Walk cycle is almost the same.

That's explicitly what they're designed to look like. Stubbies in particular have those exact bracket-shaped feet.

You pick up routes B and C specifically from the moment you save Kaine. Which just adds to the theory, honestly.

Seriously though, do the machines/androids just have an incredible recycling program? I would have assumed that 11,000 years or so of sustained world-wide warfare between a machine/alien race and androids would leave the planet a little tapped on particular resources.

9S has the right idea here. I mean, if I had been fighting some alien robots for millennia, I'd want to finally figure some things out about them and the Saddest Little Machine sounds like a good place to start.

He and Fisherwoman 2B sound like they'd have the most positive adventures possible in DrakenNier.

Wouldn't that be plenty of time for new oil to be formed? Or is the timespan too short for the resupplying? I'm genuinely interested, because at least when I was still in school I was taught that oil isn't a finite resource, humans just consume it way faster than new oil appears (also that we'd be running out of oil as a useable resource by 2030 or so). The waiting times would be in the thousands of years so it wouldn't really be a comfort for humans as-is.

And maybe during the 11,000 years they figured out how to harness solar energy properly as well as all those other eco-energy options.
Or Emil was top boy/army and everything else managed to die out or move off the planet in the meanwhile.
