Ah yes I love how they all latch onto Charlie Gard as their rallying cry. And by love I meant hate.

What exactly do they think would have happened to Charlie in their dream world? He'd probably have died a lot faster after the crippling medical bills absolutely bankrupted his family. Or his family would have had the freedom to continue being scammed by doctors promising they could keep their suffering kid alive.

I also remember how the government sent troops round to execute the elderly and infirm the moment Charlie Gard died.

There is NO conservative case for "universal healthcare."

Yesterday,, listening to Rush talk about football injuries, I wondered whether the government would ban football once it takes over "healthcare" because of the financial burdens it places on everyone else. Certainly cigarettes would be out, and maybe skiing too? Everything except anal sex.

European weighing in here. It's certainly true that all contact sports were banned as a result of socialised healthcare. Sometimes you might see underground football or rugby matches played by teams of desperate fugitives in grimy backstreet venues like the Stade de France, Old Trafford or the Bernabeu. Also we gaze longingly at the majestic mountain ranges such as the Alps, the Pyrenees and the Carpathians, wishing that we were allowed to ski on them once more but, alas that privilege is reserved exclusively for American tourists. At least we can have as much anal sex as we like though.

From Insider Rumors: Sessions Will Take DHS Job in Lateral Move posted by freeper Rockitz

It's trash from Gateway Pundit.

the excerpt posted:

As hot Beltway rumors go, this one is extra spicy, but doesn’t appear to have very much meat on the bone. It started with an anonymously sourced story from Politico which claimed “department staffers” were suggesting that Jeff Sessions might be moved over from the Attorney General slot to replace departing General John Kelly at Homeland Security. Given all the scrutiny Sessions has been under, paired with conservative pushback against the idea of his being fired, it’s easy to see how this might look tempting to President Trump… at least in theory. Fox News runs down the potential scenario which could play out.

The vast majority of the posts in the thread can be categorized into either "fake news" or "yeah this was posted on friday, learn to read," with the corresponding internet slapfight quickly following. I'll be skipping most of those.

This would be a very bad move and I expect it’s BS. It may have been put out there as a diversion. You never know.

Let’s hope Trump and his crew have a lot of good stuff up their sleeves and are playing their opponents in the media, along with the elected dems, like a cat would play with a mouse before dispatching it.

A lot of freepers really want the Russia investigation dead. Also this reconfirmation thing is BS.

quote:

To: xzins

don’t see how it helps. It puts Rosenstein, probably a never trumper, in the driver’s seat until a new AG is sworn in.

President Trump can select any current confirmed DOJ appointee official as interim Attorney General. Rosenstein does not automatically become interim Attorney General should Sessions leave for DHS. Trump could just as easily select Rachel Brand, DOJ #3 interim Attorney General if he choses.

There is talk that if Trump were to move Sessions over to DHS then he could bring Scott Pruitt, his EPA administrator (Cabinet Level Appointee) over from EPA to DOJ to be the new full time Attorney General. Pruitt, like Sessions can move to another Secretary level Cabinet position WITHOUT having to go thru the Confirmation process again since they've already been vetted and confirmed.

Before Trump tapped Pruitt as EPA Administrator, Pruitt was Oklahoma State Attorney General. Good thing for Trump is that Pruitt will not have to recuse himself and can take the reins of Mueller's special counsel investigation away from NeverTrumper Rosenstein. Pruitt on his own authority could fire Mueller and blow up his investigation or at worst neuter and restrict the investigation to the point where Mueller may just quit.

This scenario could go a long ways towards putting an end to this nightmare Mueller probe!!

So yeah, it's actually very split. Some of them think Kelly is one of the "swamp" that Trump needs to get rid of, others think Kelly was right to get rid of Scaramucci. Some of them think this is Trump playing 12D chess and it was his plan all along, some of them think Kelly is secretly plotting behind Trump's back to undermine him.

Surprisingly, only one claim that this is Fake News, in the other thread which is incorrectly titled "Anthony Scaramucci RESIGNS as White House Communications Director." I genuinely have no clue if this was a post before they knew all the info and just mistakenly thought Scaramucci resigned, or if they're claiming that the media is lying and that he resigned and was not actually removed by Kelly.

why did he lose the election?

1) Obama hated him as you can imagine.
2) He stood alone against illegal immigration until Trump came.
3) McCain rules here against the will of decent people.
4) He is 85yr old and his wife has cancer.
5) The judges went after him.
6) Locals took him for granted.
7) Outside money.

Just heartbreaking.

Wish there was something we could do. I’ve donated to his campaigns over the years. Maybe he has a defense fund?

Obama is a filthy Leftist, who wouldn't have the balls to hire someone like Scaramucci—for good or for ill.

Last time I checked, nobody ever bats a thousand. Over a lengthy career, Donald J. Trump has exhibited some pretty decent hiring and judgement—first in business, and then when he built a campaign team that launched a winning electoral juggernaut, and now he is doing the same as President—constructing a winning team while trimming away the fat along the way.

So pick your little nits all you want; it's the totality of his "hiring and judgement" that this President will be evaluated on, when all is said and done. I, for one, wish him well, and there's nobody in the entire federal government whose "hiring and judgement" I trust more. You?

These momentary snapshots merely expose the crackpots who like to take cheap shots...

No, this was some speed-play chess - Mooch brought in to ride the lightning in order to unload Reince (and underlings) and Spicer (and underlings). Any leaking henceforth is now easily traced to McMaster, Bannon, Miss Fancy Pants, OR a Bobo holdover.

Now the War Cabinet is complete. This mission accomplished, but a new and far more important mission on the near horizon...

So President Trump a man famous for “you’re fired.” had to bring in a hired gun to take out a pimple like Reince Preibus. Never mind that the hired gun had been trying to join the administration for six months. The hired gun who missed the birth of his child, sold his company, and whose wife was leaving him over his support of Trump.

If this is true anyone hoping Sessions will be sent packing is in for a rude surprise. And how we propose to get rid of Meuller?

I had written the same thing but two things:

1. Trump has no problem doing it himself.

2. COS does not work for Com Dir, so how did Scaramucci fire Priebus? I guess you could say he forced him out, him or me scenario but I think it would have drawn out over a longer period of time if that was the case.

I like Scaramucci. He is a fighter and that is what Trump needs but he seemed like a fish out of water as Com Dir.

This might be the first thread where Freep is making sense. If you need to hire an obsessive Boneitis dude for 10 days to fire someone that you already have the ultimate power to fire (and the Boneitis dude needs to scream at a journalist and talk about how much his coworkers suck to get justifiably fired), what kind of convoluted bullshit would firing Mueller involve?

Bobulus
Jan 28, 2007

Or if you'd going to do 10 days of political theater to fire someone, why target Preibus when you really want to fire Sessions? If Scaramucci is being told what to say, just have him accuse Sessions of the leaks he accused Preibus of.

Although I doubt the Republicans can find anyone who speaks the Asian Language (as they probably see it), this does present a GREAT OPPORTUNITY to make a play for their votes. Offer their kids EQUAL OPPORTUNITY - the same play the Dems made successfully for black votes.

And don’t sell the Asians short, they now have half the population in the US as blacks - in other words, they are a HUGE minority group...but right now they’re owned by the Dems, simply because the idiot Republicans can’t think of a way to reach them.
