I thought I had read some where that spurs pay a bunch of performance based bonuses, not that other clubs don't, and that keeps the wages "in line" with other clubs. I just can't believe they keep wages so low however.

I can't be bothered to link the article on mobile, but PSG apparently told Atlético to accept a 60m bid for Oblak or they'll trigger his 110m release clause lol

Wouldn't Atletico get the full 110m from the release clause? Why would they accept less? Does some of it go to the league instead?

The Neymar transfer should have been blocked by the government or UEFA or FIFA. Clearly its not financial fair play. United are limited to the money earned for transfer budgets. And rightly so. It's sickening that oil rich Arabs are allowed to spend such sums on football. Disgusting.

Summer 2017: "The smug clouds have finally all dispersed over Manchester, it is not a pretty sight. Fans are looking round and coming to a realisation. The realisation, that regardless of them spending over 300m on players in the last 2 transfer windows, that suddenly: they are no longer a big club" Autumn 2017 Pirate Bob is found dead, hanging from the rafters in his house, cock in hand, picture of Alex Ferguson in his other, a single tear down his cheek and a note on the table that reads "gently caress these oil barons with their new money pricing old owners out of the market.
