Listen here kiddo, in the olden days you could by a 1970s car for ~$1k, housing was cheaper so we didn't have to live in flats or worry about parking. Petrol was cheap and petrol cars were still the future, so they wouldn't become obsolete and could only go up in value. It's hard to find anything under $20k now. These days housing is hard, by the time any current $1k car would be old/valuable we will all be in electric self driving cars I guess. So there's no point really in collecting cheap cars any more I agree. If you want to enjoy a good classic car now, buy a single good one and enjoy it while you can. The sign above the gun display reads “own the school year like a hero” and appears to market the firearms as “back to school” items.

I have a dozen motorcycles from the 70's, I used to have stacks of receivers and speakers but I pared most of that down and gave it to friends. Most of my fishing reels and poles are from the 70's. My boat is a 1971 Glastron GT160. Even a lot of my tools and toolboxes came out of the 70's. Edit: oh yeah and a lot of my camera equipment, including that enlarger that I'm using as a table as you see to the left in that photo.

I'm in trucking school and went out in the city streets over the last couple days. I got bumped into the class ahead of mine. I did well on the straight-line backing and they took me out the next day. So far I've done a couple great alley docks and a bunch of offsets. I mostly did this to have a class A in my pocket but drat if I ever get the time to drive cross country for a year I'm going to love it. These tractors are majestic

Anyone else get really self conscious about showing anger in front of others? I managed to gently caress up and lost about 3 hours of CAD work earlier; I swore, slammed my laptop shut, and pounded my fist on the table so hard everyone in the room kinda gave me a look. I've redone the lost work and it didn't take that long, but I still feel like a jackass for... being upset? Idk, it's weird.

So I'm doing massive work to the yard and house getting ready for family to come up in 2 weeks for the 3 year old birthday party. Still building a fence that will challenge the Great Wall. New baby Prius has a scraping/rattling from a wheel that I happen to hear (wife's car and luckily it just started the day before, "I didn't tell you so you wouldn't get mad?"). About to pull out the jack and take the wheel off muttering to myself I don't have time for this poo poo and then lightbulb. This is a new car, I schedule an appointment and in 20 minutes they identify a rock lodged behind the rotor (gravel driveway) and tell me to have a nice day. It is hard getting into the mindset of having a new car and a great dealership.

There's a fine line between being cool and sort of funny-angry and 'hm this guy could snap angry'. Take it down 2.3 levels there, my technique for that scenario is I loudly say "gently caress" so people know you're not fooling around, give your laptop the double fingers while you mutter "These loving idiots" and then you can be angry and also still make it seem like maybe it wasn't your own fault. Don't pound your fist on tables ever though. Especially since you're a large dude... and don't break poo poo either. Other than that, go for it dawg. Do your thing. Go get some fresh air, go have a drink. Also what's 3 hours in the overall remaining 48-72 hours you have left before our very impressive, strong and good and very smart president goads some other dipshit smalldick daddy's boy into a nuclear war in order to hide the fact Vladimir Putin owns everything he is and has?

As a big guy myself: never get physically angry -- the pounding fists, slamming doors, etc. It just scare people/makes you look crazy. Really don't go beyond a "gently caress" and the like.
