When I lived in an area of desert with frequent, very high winds, most people either had their trampolines staked down or else had sandbags weighing down the bottom struts. Even with the sandbags, one of the neighbors ended up with his trampoline on his roof.

It's also why you need to seriously stake down bounce houses lest they fly away and injure or kill kids.
