Edit: like, it wouldn't be a tragedy if a ton of restaurants closed upon our outlawing of tipping and below-minimum wage pay policies, it would be good, even if it means fewer people employed (for terrible wages and hours) and fewer people are able to eat out four times a week. It also ignores potential regional variation, since obviously heavy higher income Trump support in solid blue or red states (for example) isn't really as relevant electorally as Trump voter demographics in swing states. Anyways, it's a big problem that plausible sounding statistics can be produced to support almost any conclusion, and liberals are hardly immune to this. Careful attention must be paid to whether the statistics given actually disprove the main thrust of a particular argument.
