i'm still going to be mad if they dont have touch id built into the display i remember seeing a patent filing for apple tech that would allow the user to use their fingerprint anywhere on the screen and if i have to use lovely faceid instead imma be real sad

ah, yeah, that makes perfect sense actually. lucky combination of features, i rather like the glass backs. never gotten the sense that you give up much in durability either, since you can't drop a glass-fronted phone too roughly whether with a metal or glass (though a bit of flex might be helpful, plastic phones still seem to be good for the overall durability of the thing)

I hope this is like an in-store display or something https://www.macrumors.com/2017/08/16/images-depict-alleged-apple-oled-tv/ I don't think it's a mass market product because you could fit like 200 grand worth of iphones in the container space of a single tv [also nobody makes a 60" oled panel right now and there's only 2 factories that make them]
