There's a big difference between not choosing to discuss race relations between your white self and your white friends, and going on national television to defend a statement defending racists, and then refusing to talk about race. If she didn't want to talk about race, she shouldn't be on TV talking about racist statements.

I still love them bringing on a Black Man to defend Trumps statement because they inherently know that it's a Race issue and want to look like they're sensitive and seeing both sides of the issue. But then blowing a gasket every time he tries to talk about Race rather than the talking points.

I’m so happy that a bunch of racists protesting the removal of a traitor’s memorial (even self-disowned by the subject before his death) has caused the mass removal of other such “memorials”. I’m also glad that people like Trump think that history is contained in statues displayed in minor parks and low-key government lawns. I heard about slavery in public school, but won’t believe it until I see a plaque honoring a guy who killed: slaves, people fighting for freedom from slavery, emancipated former slaves who wanted to save their families and future, children of both sides, non-racist southern citizens, innumerable animals, future generations of racists, and Donald Trump, hard to be sure, right?
