Goddamnit, I think I hosed up. I installed windows via the bootable medium created from the Microsoft tool, and then skipped entering a key during installation like I had done every time before, knowing I'd activate Windows later with the bought key that I hadn't received at the time. Outside of an issue with the activation of the OEM key I bought, it seems like I'm hosed anyway, because I had never run Windows on that system before, since it was fresh-bought and assembled from scratch. I'm guessing I might not have the option to simply enter a key now, and have to install fresh again.
