Key components?
Parts of it were uhh... incomplete.
Please be more specific with your reporting, 9S. Vaguely detailed accounts are counter-productive.
It uhh... well, it had the appearance of a white, long haired human male but didn’t have... Parts... between its legs? Like... you know...
A penis was missing?

I really hope this isn't subtle foreshadowing that we're eventually going to learn about YoRHa genitalia.

I think it's interesting how you can sometimes hear overtones in the voice acting for the machines, which makes it sound like they recorded it as regular dialogue before processing it into weird monotones at various octaves. Also I was happy to see you control a tall stacked stubby. Made me feel good inside.
I forget, did Id cover the incredibly useful and not at all stupid addition of the game giving you a voice filter you can turn on at any time to make everyone's voices sound awful? I believe it unlocks after route A, but...I kind of used it once then turned it off. Forever. Because it was bad.

It was confirmed by Yoko Taro at some point (and by "at some point" I mean in the strategy guide, apparently?!) that, not only do Androids have genitalia, but they can choose which kind of genitalia to have, and also whether they have any at all. Android gender is very much a flexible thing, it seems. This also makes all of the porn potentially canon, which is a beautiful thing.

Or... maybe not that word. There may be another word I'm thinking of.

I mean considering the OTHER inane poo poo Androids have been saddled with, plug and play modular dongers is on the low end of weird.

Earth High Command probably stopped reading the developer notes around the point that the scientists gleefully announced that they'd given the androids the ability to experience depression as a way to to escalate the suffering arms race of the Aliens giving a robot fish the ability to become bored.

More and more it seems like Androids were designed partly by people submitting ideas while drunk/high, and those ideas getting approved by someone else who was drunk/high.

It's truly bizarre so I'm sure Id will show it off eventually. But search for Nier voice changer and it'll come up.

I'm kind of reminded of a scene in Christopher Moore's book, Lamb, where a guy is talking with an angel and can't resist the urge to ask if it has a dick.
"Yeah, yeah we do."
"...Can I see it?"
"I didn't bring it with me."
"Oh. Wait, what?"

No, but I mean technically Emil has spent millennia fighting a losing battle against the weapons of a dead alien race with no companionship save for automated facsimiles of the species he set out to protect, and Beepy is an amalgamated gestalt mind that barely retains an individual identity or remembers the friend who gave him purpose and a name, aimlessly drifting through space seeking a greater meaning for itself. And Arioch was eaten by giant space babies.

My point is that you kind of have to shift the goalposts a bit in this series to get to a happy ending.

Mikhail probably had a happier ending in the one where he got to hang out with a (slightly changed) Zero. Zero would be happier with that one too, actually.
