It got me wondering, why aren't people mailing boxes of confetti covered cow poo poo to these people with insufficient postage? You have to pay extra to send perishables. I'll write the Kickstarter pitch.

Someone has a terrible idea like "are we going after Washington and Jefferson statues next?" and they poo poo it into someone's mouth who then has that "idea", so they poo poo it into someone else's mouth and round and round it goes. It's like loving clock work, hear something from the mouth pieces of the Republican party and every single loving brain dead one of them will be wandering around dribbling the word for word exact same poo poo out onto the rest of the country.

New report out from Schaffner finds that over 1/3rd of verified Sanders voters either did not vote in the general or voted Trump/Stein. The margin is such that had Trump done half as well with Sanders supporters, he would have lost Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Wisconsin. Now I'm sure there'll be a bunch of posts queuing up saying that it's not his supporters' fault, it's the corporatist Democrats who had the temerity to suggest that the candidate with the most votes be nominated, and really it's our fault for not destroying every single piece of the party's platform and identity and rebuilding it in the image of their one true god.

Look I'm sure Trump's actions since taking office are perfectly in line with what Bernouts wanted and they wouldn't have been better off voting for Clinton at all.

Now we will possibly see Rapid Intensification and could get a major hurricane at landfall. This is the best part. Potentially 30 inches of rain inland. Thats nearly 3 feet. I saw 32 inches in 36 hours with a tropical depression once. People inland are hosed. More so than those on the coast where building codes are better.

It also means Bernie would've won. I'm also done talking about this.

Hot Karl Marx posted:12% isn't 25%. It most certainly doesn't, there's no way to make that claim based on the available data. But you're right, 25% of Hillary voters voted for McCain in 2008. And that's terrible and worthy of condemnation too. Except at least there Obama still won. If he had lost because 25% of Hillary primary voters switched sides, you bet your rear end I'd have been condemning them too.

Just know that your average American doesn't understand how predictions work so when you say a candidate has an 80% chance to win they see it as the candidate will get 80% of the total vote, and some people (probably a small but not insignificant portion of Bernie supporters who didn't vote in 2016, for example) the will sit the election out because they think the outcome is already determined. Keep that in mind when you're running around saying the republicans are going to collapse in 2018 or that Trump won't possibly be reelected! I see way too many people saying the exact same things about the 2018/2020 outcomes that they said about 2016.
