I'm not saying hit everyone you don't agree with, but boy oh boy the handwringing is rich considering the following You might maybe just maybe be unlucky enough to get clocked by someone or otherwise physically assaulted if: -You attend a hate-speech rally -that rally targets peoples who have historically been enslaved, murdered, sterilized, institutionalized, etc -you stick around when antifa or similar folk show up -(in many cases) you get violent with them rather than just holding a sign -(in many cases) you increase your odds for targeting by being a visible and vocal leader of such a group -(oh and also your tactic is use speech to get a foothold, then if you get real power, destroy those rights and straight fuckin' wreck your opponents with state-sanctioned violence and lol at how dumb lower case liberals were) Like me oh my, violence is bad mmkay, but cry me a river that someone meeting that criteria might be unlucky enough to get hit when the oppressed who've had enough were murdered en masse in recent history.

Not sure how antifa works in the states, but i've met more than a few european antifa types and i, being a dirty socialist myself, do not have a very high opinion of them. Most of them are just as impressionable and intolerant as the nazi scum they're supposed to be fighting, to the point where their allegiance to the political left feels more like a coincidence than actual conviction, and in the absence of actual nazis, 99% of their misguided anarchist rage is generally aimed at things that are well within the accepted political spectrum. If you were to make a venn diagram of euro antifa, antiglobalists and political anarchists, it'd practically be a single circle. In europe at least, they certainly do not disappear in the absence of swastika-carrying scum, but rather spend their time loving up legit protests and being general all-purpose assholes. A good portion of my social circle are highly leftist and have punk/activist backgrounds and the vast majority of them will have absolutely nothing to do with flag-flying antifa types. That said, there is still no moral equivalence and all loving nazis must loving hang.

From my very brief and incidental brush with Euro antifa, they are on another level compared to US antifa. Also lol watching SHARP (Skineheads against racial prejudice) thoroughly humiliate a drunk racist dude and his friend without actually hurting them beyond dumping a beer over his head and chasing them off was some funny-rear end poo poo. Drunk German man, maybe don't walk up to a Döner stand and try to spit on the meat spit. If anything, I think the SHARP gang saved these dumbasses from furhter violence at the hands of drunk, hungry Germans in line for Döner.
