Technically I have 24 hours left, but I'm just going to go ahead and say oath failed for this month. I really have not been at all engaged by the painting projects I've undertaken, and trying to meet the schedule/stipulations of the oath thread hasn't been helping, unfortunately. I'm going to pull back and try and find something that I'm actually interested in getting painted.

Oath complete Another Bones miniature that I had a good time painting. I decided that to try doing some OSL on this, as I had no real plans for the model, so I am claiming that as the challenge. I've never really tried OSL and it was interesting, not sure I'll use it much on regular projects!

Oath Complete! Did a Reaper Bones dragon to qualify for the Journal, attempting to do a glow in its throat like it's breathing fire. Through a combination of non-excellent sculpting and personal apathy, it didn't turn out great.   My Maghariba Guard turned out much better, however.    I was challenged to weather it intensely, like the studio model. Lots of fun, and I'm glad to have it finally finished.

Oath Completed - 1 Gravis Captain, 1 Primaris Lieutenant, 5 Primaris Hellblasters, 5 Primaris Reivers.  Here is my Warriors of Iron finished so far.  Now 35 levels of Primaris. Need to paint a hell of a lot before Sept 9th, so I'll be oathing a lot of stuff in about 24 hours.

OATH COMPLETE! Claiming Feelin' The Heat for the obvious fire here  They're quite not good, but I'm ok with that. They're gonna be better than the plain plastic I was playing with in the board game I think that's gonna be the goal for this board game, paint it all, and focus on fast rather than good. OATH COMPLETE  Claiming Feelin' the heat for the guy on the left there, he's armed with a Magma Cannon and I've tried to paint a blue-hot metal colour underneath the cooling vents, on him and two others like him (back row second from left, second row second from right) Also, Army Painter dips take a real loving long time to dry, and has some pooling issues, but saves a lot of painting time over washing and sealing by hand. No bases, because I have a plan to do bases for the entire army at once made out of air drying clay.

Oath Complete!     Received shipment of scenic bases about a week ago - maybe that will be some future oath? For now, the guys will remain like this. I will also be hunting for decals to separated Veterans from regular Guardsmen. Can I Take One For the Team? This is my Imperial Guard kill team for Shadow War: Armageddon. The non-GW is a sarge (laspistol, chainsword), the stormies are Vets with Carapace armor and Lasguns with Hot-shot power packs, the guys with special weapons are, well, specialists (the combi-plasma dude is there only until I get enough points to replace him with the melta man), the rest are... well, 3 regular guardsmen and just replacement vets. That's why I will need to get decals. The ones that came with the metal Cadian box are yellowed from age. A faithful replica: I tried going for GW's official new Guarscheme according as outlined by this friendly goon. Also claim Feel the heat for the plasma coils. If you want to post some of the faces on Unspiration, do so. I used a 0.1Staedler Pigment liner, which is a fancy word for pen.

I, Dr. Gargunza, oath for September to assemble and paint a couple of Frankenstein's-monster-style amalgams of the following: (1) Wight King; (1) Halbarad, Cleric; (1) Ingrid; (1) staff with some kind of wing-headed skull device! All 28mm heroic scale. The Wight King is GW, the priest and viking are Reaper Bones, and the staff is from Reaper's Bones 3 plastic weapons pack. I've obviously already been doing some work on conversion, but here's the staff on sprue:  There's a chance I might want to add a book from GW's Empire Flagellants kit to the Wight King, so here's a picture featuring that:  And since I've removed the sword and shield from the Wight King, here's me showing my work:  This is what the Wight King looks like unaltered:  "After" pics coming as soon as I finish assembly (and repair the staff, which I managed to snap off not five minutes after taking my oath pic, rassum frassum....)

The Zanshi are getting puffy pants, and magically have turned into Keisotsu, because all Japanese people in the Infinity universe wear hakama, at all times, under pain of death. Venin, Vitriol, Compound, Calculus, and Crucible, all from Steamforged Games' Guild Ball - Alchemists' Guild (30mm base) I don't think I'm going to be doing any converting with these guys, because I fail at theme. Maybe something else if I get them done early enough.
