I love when people use the argument that we don't treat schizophrenic or other mentally ill people by telling them they're right, so why would we do that with trans people? Because the answer is "we would if it worked". I've pointed this out a few times and they either just quit talking to me or go on a bad faith "thinking you're another gender IS the mental illness" rant and I realize I can ignore them. I have had one person have a lightbulb moment though.
