You know what's far more annoying than scrolling past a huge image dump? Trying to quote a specific pic from it. How about putting a number next to each image to make that easier? Works pretty well in the hellscape that is the politoons thread. I love it! e: Except that the belt shouldn't be there anymore.

Just wanted to bring attention that this is a man so beloved by people that no one gave him poo poo despite the fact that he's squatting on a bollard and wearing crocs.

I think the purest form of fanart is the OC's people make for the content they like. Someone likes the thing so much they want to add or be a part of that world. It's cute in a way. With that, i bring you from the depths of Deviantart's pits: Hollow Knight OC's - because I honestly thought I wouldn't find any.  X  X  X  X  X  X  X  X honestly, some of these are pretty good. some less. Some were so bad that I left them out. Spelunking for fanart is not good for people who like the source material

Nah, [UHF] should have the power to take on the form and powers of another stand or person but over time the copy starts behaving weirder and weirder until the form is unrecognizable when it reverts. Then it can evolve a new power where if the copy can defeat the original it becomes the defacto version and the original becomes warped or destroyed. (Amish Paradise, Eat it, The Saga Begins, etc).

One of the guys that got a character in is actually like...this dude who pays artists, regularly, to commission his OC, to the point that he has a huge set of rules for when he honors you with his business. I think he put him one or two other games, too.

Reize. He has two boomerangs, and is pretty anime... though in the latest Shovel Knight campaign featuring specter knight, he's sort of re-characterized as an overenthusiastic kid trying to be what he thinks a hero looks like.

I want to say that they do stop being OCs by being in the game, but then does the line between fan-characters and official ones begin and end when the creator is being paid to insert the self-inserts? It's a creational conundrum, is what it is.
